  • im a rabid fanatic for xtc... i usually hate unofficial vids to their songs.... but this was very well done... thanks for posting.... !

  • Very well done.

  • Great clip. Do you not have a HD version? I reckon the band would support it as a re-release (with a bit of updating now). It's got a documentary feel that makes it hit home all the more poignantly.

  • Perfect song to come out during the Reagan Administration.

  • @SirReal1958

not to mention 'living through another Cuba'....

  • this is a new one to me...and, man, does this ever sound like Sting/Police stuff...love it...it ends too soon, however...I love the last two phrases ending with over and out...very catchy and needs the extension...specifically for that phrasing...

I found it on CBC2 last nite in Canada...L.

  • I'd forgotten about this XTC song. I love the percussion. I liked the video and did not think it was heavy-handed with the religious imagery. It was moving, visually interesting and alive!

  • Great video. I always thought it was a shame that XTC chose to make such a bland video to this song when it had so much potential to really speak to people.

Thanks for giving it some life. :)

  • This vid is very good, This song is one of my fav XTC songs, I heard them all, including the Dukes of Stratosphere songs.

  • This song always makes me cry because it can actually happen.

  • Really well done video

  • @ePhilosopher9 Goddamn dirty Apes!

  • VERY NICE WORK --- XTC has been my favorite band since 1979. THANK YOU~

  • So many times XTC sounds more interesting than The Police. This World Over seems suitable for the strange days we've been living in recent years. One of their best along with Dear God and, well, so many others.

  • 123456789,123456789. the wonderful piano count,

  • Great video and excellent work!!!!

  • Love this.

  • ya know they are atheists

  • @ronpelto Oooh.

  • Have loved this song since it came out in the 80s. Such a pure and haunting melody. Great video and very true to the lyrics (naive and silly as the proved to be).

  • great video makes you think, xtc is one of my all time favorite bands and this song is right up there on my list of favorites. sad as it is.

  • Meh. Substitute Muhammad for jesus and it would be more relevant.

  • As a long time fan .... GOOD JOB! GREAT VIDEO (to WheezerK9..I think you got m'bella's #, what I don't understand is why is someone so literal as mongabella listnin to XTC? - mysteries this world over I guess)

  • Marvellous Interpretation of a Truly Marvellous Song Thanks.

  • I have a problem, that you show the moon, like it would be earthlike, cold, moon was created by this planet, shit that came about the big bang, repeated shots, big ball of snot

  • I believe that you have a problem,i just dont think its with this video in any way shape or form.

  • I like very much this tune!

    I have BIG EXPRESS album.

    Greetings from Japan

  • @urota1965

Good to see another XTC fan in Japan.

  • Great video to go with a great song

  • Great Video!

  • Great interpretation and thanks for standing up for the people of all the nations and generations!! and God bless you.

  • Bravo!!!!!!!!!

  • enjoyed the video immensely, fitted a favourite song in a contemporary and well choreographed way though don't necessarily support the religious viewpoint. thank you!

  • There's no religious viewpoint here - other than Andy Partridge's viewpoint. I believe this is about Man's use of religion and god to meet his own ends. God's existence is moot!

  • so true...

  • @kolster65 I played your vid twice now, mainly because the song is awesome, however you did an excellent job. I tried to find religous viewpoints. What I found was an insight to humanity and our self-destructive nature. I did not find nor was I looking for religion.

    Great job kolster65

  • @Hoplite001 .....YES! Correct! "Insight to humanity and our self-destructive nature". Thank you! Where some of you fail miserably, HOPLITE GETS IT!

  • @pip041 .....Oh brother. "Religious viewpoint"?? You obviously have no idea what this song is about and shouldn't be commenting.

  • Quite nicely done, nice sync, great song choice. Excellent work, thank you for posting this.

    One Love

  • A most excellently constructed video to one of the greatest songs from THE greatest band that ever existed. How sad that the world hasn't been turned on to the genius of Andy Partridge. Thanks for sharing!

  • Great Song and nice job creating a video for it. Cheers

  • Thank you so much for making this available to the public!
