Christmas Canon Rock Finger Tapping Solo

hey man. The playing is great and all. But i just dont understand wtf is going on with this tapping. Im more of a blues/classic rock player but im trying to get this down for the holidays. Is there anyway u can make an instructional video for this. I watched ur "slowed down" version but that didnt help at all :|

I will try to find time to film a short actual instruction video soon, I can't guarantee HOW soon though. :( In the meantime, I searched "how to finger tap guitar" on youtube and came up with some pretty good videos! And yes, I do understand some of the tapping in this song is pretty unique. Don't pay any attention to the tapping at the end, it turns out it is just alternative picking arpeggios. :O I'll add that to the new video.

@TheWinaliteGirl Well you're welcome! I'm glad it helped so much! :) For effects, I had my guitar hooked up to a multieffects pedal which was outputted into two amps! There is a decent amount of reverb on it, and some delay. But that's it! :)

@guitarmaniak8 Yeah! I know I've spent a lot of time trying to figure it out. I've concluded that the last part of the solo is actually picked/tapped in an arpeggio style. (As in the tab) If you do it right it actually sounds more exact! But I suppose you could do it either way!

I suppose that's another way to do it. It seems alot harder though.. Try slowing the song's tempo down and seeing if you have every note right, that's what I did. Makes it tons easier.

Ummm, well I suppose it would be because I'm using a Boss Gt-8, especially since I have it connected to two amps in this video, and the patch is stereo. :) Plus a little bit of delay and reverb can go a long way!

Well basically all i'm using is a Boss Gt-8. In this video I am using two Crate practice amps, stereo output from the pedal. If you wanted more info, basically just some reverb, and a decent amount of delay makes all the difference..
