This song takes me back (1971) in the 9th grade dating my high school sweetheart (Bettie H.) She loved this song. She passed away (brain cancer). Man, I loved that girl! I love this song, in which it took me many years to find it. This song is to you, my first love, my sweet Bettie.
I remember when this song first came out! My mother played it to death!! I appreciate it all the more now that I'm married with two kids (two boys)! This is REAL MUSIC!!
Wow, I forgot about this song. This was the bomb. I never knew who sang it. Thanks for the memories. I too have an extensive record collection (lps and 45s) that I have been transferring to cds for the last three years. Wish I could add this one.

this was one of the tunes back in the day in East Cleveland, Ohio, at shaw high school lounge where the best dancers in the world were "kids" dancing a swing dance that hollywood would kill for. We didnt take the lyrics serious do'... when we said wear this ring, it meant until your replacement arrives.. I told her to take her time...
Oh my what a song , just take a few minutes and listen to the world, i remember this song back in the day when songs went to the heart, the songs today need to go out the window.
I live in the birthplace/home of rock and roll, Cleveland. Our airwavws should be full of all kinds of music. Why can't we have a station that plays this kind of music. The only place you might hear it is on satellite radio. Dag!!.
