THe cannons were able to break down the walls -_-.. not to mention they were attacking from All sides which fucked the Aztecs up. They weren't prepared to fight artillery.

A lot can be said about the Spanish Conquistadores but nothing will take away their bravery and guts , they crossed the ocean , and challenged the unkown, its no small thing. They were no saints and did a lot of bad things , I guess they will forever be seen in good light but some and bad light by others , its their legacy . "Teotl" is the Nahuatl word for anything sacred, powerful, or unexplainable. They called the beings they worshipped and built temples to Teotl, or Teteo in the plural form. I think that sacred, powerful and unexplainable could be used to describe a god. No, they didn't sacrifice criminals back then. They sacrificed captive warriors and slaves bought to be sacrificed. The skeletons have been found in and around the Great Pyramid, and there are surviving paintings in codices and in Maya temples that depict sacrifice.
