Homemade Hydroponic system -herb garden 3-4 weeks old

how do you start the seeds? surly they wouldn't stay in your medium long enough to root.

@preytec I started them in the same system. I used Aergarden grow sponges in my homemade system. The sponges were surrounded by clay pebbles. They were stable enough to hold the seeds. With water slowly dripping over the sponges, they sprouted and grew into plants.
