Just imagine, Indian films releases tons of movies each year and almost all the flims have about 4 to 5 songs in them...
so how are the composers going to come up with soooo many original songs? ofcause they will look for inspiration from other countries. The most important thing in my opinion is does the music turn out well. And obviously in this case it did :D

No, pritam DID NOT contact Ariel, the singer/composer of the song. Ariel didn't know his song was copied until one of his fans inform him. And this is not the only Ariel's song being copied by Pritam. Check Aao Milo Chale which is the copy of other Peterpan's song, "Di Belakangku"

Not only this song, Preetam also copied and pasted music in one of the songs in the movie Gangster. The song goes "bheegi bheegi......apni adoori kahani". Its such a popluar song in Calcutta because this song is a hit from one of the Bangla bands.
