Ed, you wouldn't know economic history if it hit you over the head. Should you care to brush up on current events and chronology there was a great article in the New York Times; "Fannie Mae Eases Credit To Aid Mortgage Lending," Sept. 30, 1999, that seems to indicate the problem you point across the isle about and pretend happen over the "last eight years" was in fact a problem the last administration inherrited. I seem to recall a sax playing president who really dug chicks in office in 1999.
