i know this. Iv been to Switzerland and i have lived in the states. if guns were as readily available in the uk as they are in switzerland we would have as many shootings as the US. It would not work in this country, just as it doesn't in the US, how many shootings do you have a year? who is meant to have brainwashed me anyway? If you hate Americans, there is probably something wrong with your political ideals. You should never hate anyone. Police not carrying guns? What kind of uncivilized society do you live in? Firearms are the only ABSOLUTE way to defend oneself from an attacker. Firearms give those who otherwise are unable to defend themselves a chance to defend themselves. Examples: elderly, unfit men, women, and other disabled people. Pepper-spray and rape whistles do nothing.

The UK has the highest violent crime rates in ALL of Europe. Switzerland, the most armed country in Europe, has the least. Every male in Switzerland above the age of 20 has an assault rifle, yet they have the lowest gun crime. Explain that?
