what kind of speakers are those? are they made especially for recording / mixing? i am looking around for a good quality set of speakers that are made especially for recording/mixing because i have been recording through standard headphones and it sounds fine but when i put it oan a cd and play it through a stereo it sounds quite flat and really far away if you get me lol thanks

@cfcdaviddcfc i got rokit 5's. they are pretty good for a cheap price. i recoment rokit 8's though. a lot better then what i have. But there so much out there that is specifically for mix and mastering! But so much more when it comes to prices too.

@jgm1967 i agree. totally helped me so much before i actually went to logic. its bare bones of logic basically and to some people logic is to much to handle for a beginner so gb is a great place to start.

@EmceeEmphasis yes sir.. i promise all the videos i made on here is made on garageband. but i did upgrade to logic now. but non the less all the videos are made in garageband. i havent uploaded a video with my logic beats yet. gb is pretty good. just gotta know the in and out of it to make your beat and recording sound legit thats all.

@Rollinpinz update your garageband.. just go to software update and update everything.. make sure you check for more update after the first try coz its gonna give you more update then you should be able to use all of them.

Just a quick tip man to add feel to your song you should learn stuff such as dynamics like crescendo and accent. things of that nature if not man your stuff will sound computerized and thats not always a good thing..... but thanks man I learned a couple of things on your site video keep it up bro

The way I do gated synths is slow the tempo down to half speed..

Play the synth in stabs or the gated "rythm" that you desire, then return it to normal speed.. and Voila! Fast gated synth...

MUCH quicker and simpler way then how you were doing it...
