  • twas a good squat and then your deadlift O GAWD WHAT HAPPENED

  • I really hope I don't jynx myself, but I've never been injured and my deadlifting form is as shoddy and inconsistent as possible. Heck, just earlier today I DL'ed 415lbs with both my lower and upper back rounded and hitching it up. I learned how to lift from strongman, who don't consider a lift to count unless you can do it at 3AM in the morning with the worst form possible while standing on a sheet of ice.

  • "FUCK!!!" lol

  • form....bro i fucked my back up cause i didnt do it right

  • like a clown xD 2:30 hhahaha

  • gangste.r power rack in the middle of a grass feild

  • Your feet are too far apart to accomodate where your hands are on the deadlift. See how your feet are farther out than your knees?

  • ELUVEITIE

  • 315 deadlift?

  • yo. you are strong but homie your deadlift form is fucked. head up, feet shoulder width...don't push it as hard for now man..slip a disc and you'll be hating it the rest of your life

  • thats seriously bad deadlift form man

  • why the fuck would someone dislike this? I

  • 1-good depth good grind on squat!

2- your deadlifts back arched chest out!(your lower back is extremely rounded which is bad

3- deadlift narrower feet closer hands about shoulder width apart shoulders 1-2 inches past bar.

4- right before the pull arms are STRAIGHT! 180also have tension with the bar before the pull. What happens is your arms aren't straight( your beiceps are contracted) and/or your loose right before you pull the bar and when you pull up theres that slight jerk! thats wrong!

  • haha those squats were grinders for sure....good perseverance

  • good lifts man, keep working. i think the only thing you really need to work on is your back. keep it more straight on squat and on the deadlift keep your legs and back straighter.

  • you probably already got this by now, but you shouldnt take such a wide stance on the DL. its forcing a wider hand position, making the bar travel longer. Either go sumo with hands inside legs or narrow your stance.

  • I got sooooooooooooo happy when i heard the song!!!!!!!!!

  • with the deadlift use legs more than your back if u wanna stay healthy..

  • hey bro, I suggest you to pay attention to the technique of your lifts!

With a better movement you can gain more and more lbs on your barbell, and prevent accidents!

    Alex from Italy

    bye!

  • This is a powerlifting meet?

  • @powerliftingaddict Thanks, i got another competition coming up in september, thanks for the advice

  • aha knee wraps for a 315 squat....

  • @chrisraab69 Those were knee sleeves

  • @chr9is

Sry but your form is bad... specially on deadlifts, saw your friends video - he has much better form ( again those deads...)

  • @karolis87 it' one thing to giv constructive critiscmbut when it';s the only thing that comprises ur comment you need to shut the fuck up

  • @chrisraab69 those are APT knee sleeves, not wraps. . . . . give the kid a break.

  • @chrisraab69 their are ppl at my gym who use knee wraps for under 2 plates and on a smithmachine going down 2 inchs for squats. Also wearing a belt lolol.

  • @chrisraab69 whats light for you may be heavy as hell for someone else. take your cockiness elsewhere

  • good job! i jsut dont understand how ur split jerk is high compared to how ur deadlift and squat are.. thats weird.. i can deadlift 450-475 and squat prolly like 350 max, bench about 315, but could only overhead press like 175 with solid no leg dirve form.. although i never did split jerks.. how much do they add to ur overhead press lift? does anyone know?

  • @PowerlifterTy16 Pushing with your legs helps a lot. No Olympic athlete would be able to put up 400-500 pounds with just their shoulders alone. I wouldn't be surprised if this guy put barely put up 150 with no leg involvement at the time he posted this.

  • Your stance for squat is way too wide.. Your losing alot of power that way. U prob could have done that 3 times with a good base

  • You got a strongass overhead. Your squat and deadlift numbers are similar to mine, but I cannot 230overhead.

  • This is such a kick ass setup.

  • when ur sqauting or deadlifting keep ur head up

  • either do a sumo or a conventional pull. make up your mind lol.

  • U r the luckiest u havent messed up ur back with tha deadlift.........so dangerous.....

  • The ghettoness in this vid is pure win

  • squat was good work but it looks like your gonna suffer an injury at the rate your going.

  • You didn't use enough of your legs in the last deadlift, I'm in the 148 powerlifing weight class and I can get 315 squat 405 dead and 200 bench(16yrs old) sorry if I sound like I'm bragging but I'm implying you can do heavier

  • Wow, that 315 lb squat grind was awesome, great job.

  • Good weight for split jerk

  • what do u do when it rains

  • I'm diggin the rusty weights.

  • Hah, thanks

  • your stance is a little wide but pretty good

  • I do 315 for 6 and im 18. I weight 202 but then again im done with football so reps mean more than my 1 rep max. Bad form on your lifts bro, even though I am impressed by your OH press

  • Nice efforts, however I'd strongly advice you to (as many here have said) emphasize your form. I many young guys you have injured themselves for the rest of their lives.

  • His forms fine

  • I'm aware my form was less than pretty, haha.

Thanks though, I'm building back up there (Injuries/traveling have post-poned consistent training for awhile)

  • im 14 and i get 315 but we have this other kid in our grade freshman that can get 425 he is 14 also its 4 45 and i think a 10 im not sure it was a lot for his sizemwork on your tech.

  • lol what the fuck are they feeding you over there, i barely know anyone at my gym who can squat more than 315lbs.... hell, im 20, and i only just reached a 335 squat.. lifting for a year though

  • lol at our school we have 14,15,16 year olds squatting 300 315 345 385 400 405 435

    right now im at 290 weight 129 n 15.

We got sum beasts over here.

  • Impressive, i dont even think 90% of the guys at my gym could squat 315...

  • thanks. Im going for 350 by the end of May since thats when school ends. Thats my goal 340-350

  • On the overhead lift drop the wieght on the floor dont ry and catch it...your gunna KIL your elbows!

on the deadlift ass down chest out head up and you'll be good.

  • your form on the split jerk and deadlift is horrid. For jerk, elbows up use ur shoulders as a rack. and for the deadlift, well u just need a lot of help/

  • Horrid form on all lifts... i'm sorry to say it man, work on your form and your lifts will catch up with the strength you have.

  • For the love of all that is holy, FIX your deadlift technique! You can't lift any weight if you're injured, and you WILL get injured pulling like that.

  • Its no wonder you are getting injured with a deadlift technique like THAT!!! Your squat form is good though and you have good strength in the power jerk

  • None of my serious injuries have ever been lifting related, but I do see what you mean with the deadlift, thanks

  • @chr9is

he means that you are bending your back while performing deadlift, and that can fuck up you back real good.

you have to keep your back as straight as possibel to avoid that

  • 15 305 but im kinda short

  • pretty strong, seems like your squat should be higher tho

  • Thanks, yeah my squat was pretty low at the time(still have yet to break 315, keep getting injured)

  • With that form, I'm not surprised...

  • FUCK!!!!!!!!!

i feel your anger man lol

  • sweet chuck taylors

  • 17 and squating 450.

  • your deadlift form is terrible. you need to get lower and put your head up and drive back

  • first competition!?!?!? you call this a competition!?!?!? Its just a bunch of morons lifting in their backyard!!! if you consider this a competition, then it must be in the special olympics!!!

  • You need to work on a few things. First, strengthen ur abs and core, thats y ur squat isnt higher, u bend to much at ur back because your core isnt tight. Also, when you explode in you overhead, which want really an overhead, more or a clean and jerk without the clean, get lower and pop you back leg out more, get more bend in your front knee. You wouldnt have got the lift in a legal compition because your arms didnt lock out immediatly, getting lower will fix that

  • Thanks for the tips

This competition was legal.. it was under nastrongmaninc. But yeah my core does need strengthening, unfortunately I'm out with an injury right now so I haven't been able to back squat since the beginning of this year really.

I'm considering trying bodybuilding instead (less chance of injury)

  • *mistake* that comment was to cs player

  • chris..then be humble seriously, if your strong to boast makes you look pathetic

  • yea i can squat 315 like once or twice. and i'm 14. but i'm not in powerlifting so we don't do o.h. or deadlift. i just lift for football and stuff. but i guess it all depends on how long you've been lifting and your body. some people are just naturally built to be able to do more than other people. keep up the good work.

  • wow are any of u guys serious? for real? this guy is a vagina dude comon how old is like 17-18? im 16 and can squat rep 395 and overhead 250 and deadlist 390 with no belt and if this is a competition wow, shittiest location and everything, terrible

  • And your point is? There are guys that can squat, overhead, and deadlift twice what you can. Does that make you a vagina? Not necessarily. Does it make me a vagina? Not necessarily.

Then I guess the Illinois Chairmen for nastrongmaninc has a shitty house and backyard. Forget the fact that multiple strongman competitions have been held there previously.

  • without a belt? that isnt the least bit tough its dumb why take a chance at getting injured moron

  • woah man, would never have expected you to listen to eluveitie when i read your music taste in your profile... nice one!

  • awesome video and good work! but... you're bending your arms on the deadlift, keep them straight and you have less distance to lift. also, you should consider a narrower grip and stance. or if you wanna go sumo, go all the way.

    great scenery, too

  • Thanks, yeah sumo isn't allowed in any strongman competitions (I usually pull sumo) hence the modified stance. I have a terrible conventional deadlift. Thank you though, I didn't notice my arms were bent during my setup.

  • FUCK! hahaha awesome video.

  • FUCK lol

  • I left that in intentionally.. thought it'd be hilarious hahah

  • this was a power meet ??? in some guys backyard...

  • Yeah it was under nastrongmaninc, it was at the illinois chairmen's backyard actually, haha.

  • nice intensity.

  • Thanks!

  • no offense but actually it does. stick to weights because when it comes to exercising your brain, its going to take a lot more work.

  • On a linear level? Yes. But ask any physicist and he will tell you a whole hell of lot more is going on than just F=MA

A 200lb clean doesn't necessarily equate to having a 400 pound deadlift. the strength gained from doing cleans will no doubt be beneficial for deadlift/any explosive lift, but its not like if i can clean X amount of weight, then I can deadlift 2X.

  • powercleans helped me out a lot to get my deadlift up. f=ma so if you can powerclean 200 lbs in half the time, then you generate the same force as deadlifting 400 lbs. good luck

  • Cleans have helped me, but the movement is totally different. The force will not be the same because its a different lift.

No offense but F=MA doesn't explain even half the physics going on in weight lifting.. I'm no physicist but there is a whole lot more going on besides just newtons laws. It's hard to explain anything with physics because there are so many variables in everything.

  • on ur deadlift, ur using way too much of ur back. keep ur butt low and ur chest up and use ur glutes and quads to get the weight up

  • Thanks, part of that was I kept my damn belt too tight but yes, my conventional form sucks.

  • nice dude, deadlift is a little messy, try using some straps

    straighten out your back

  • Thanks.

yeah my deadlift form needs some work. I need to arch more.. don't think my abs/back are strong enough.

I use a mixed grip because it hurts my shoulder to pull with straps (I have bad shoulders, it hurts with certain movements but not overhead usually.)

  • im a gym rat i live for those blessed exercises and seeng you do this by yourself in the backyard for fun reallym akes me hapy to know someone like it too the way i love the sport

  • Your Weak at least your Squat is.

  • Great. Any other criticism I should know? Do I smell bad too?

And the point of your comment was..? I never claimed to be strong.

  • Yes

  • Youre a gawd damn monster chris

  • Thank you sir. I try.

  • They look really well done.

  • Those squats look brutal as hell. Sick effort. Good depth too.

  • for real

  • Thanks, it helped a lot for alex to call out when to shoot up.. think I was going too deep
