  • IT'S THEATER PEOPLE. Not film. The acting has to be flamboyant. Have you ever seen the first movies? Those characters were played by theater actors. It took a while before people realized the power of the camera as a medium between the actor and the viewer. The distance between the stage and the audience causes people to have to act more emphatic.

  • @FuckItSnoopy Go watch a professional production of a Chekhov play and try saying that again. Distance should not make an actor play to the audience unless he's purposely trying to be presentational. Otherwise, within the boundaries of the play, an actor should be representational with the character. Acting in theatre is not about waving your arms so people see you. It's about bringing the truth of a character up there. If the character itself is bigger than life, then so will the actor.

  • it's like if someone tried to make a disney sitcom. terrible acting.

  • lol, SERIOUS bad acting.....

    I see 2 amurcan guys in a T-SHIRT!

I cant get into the scene with these 2 amurcans acting so bad

  • Overacting a lot, and too much use of the hands. Also some uncomfortable pauses.

  • Man, they're really chewing the heck out of the scenery here...

  • nice legs

  • ive seen this play yesterday...it was great!:-)

  • Wow...the overacting is really REALLY bad....

    No offense...

  • I did this play with my school. I was wendy fate. i loved doing this. it was always my favorite.

  • I always wanted to see this play acted out

  • Hahaha I m italian and i v played this masterpiece at school.. I still remember the words...:

    Senza senso... E vuoto!

    Il finale?

Certo... il finale... Stiamo sempre a parlare del finale...

    GREEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAT!!!!!

  • Ilove "God" from Woody Allen...but I don't like these typical school-acting with the arms

  • No ones holding for laughter. why? is this in competition? cuz if it is that would explain it.

  • Awesome

  • We played God,too.

    It's a real funny play ;)

You guys did a grat job, but I think Lorenzo Miller is wrong dressed. He's looking like Woody Allen in our play.I think, caused on the fact that i played Woody & Lorenzo, that that Lorenzo is an arrogant person in a white suit and a golden chain.

It's really fun to see others act God

  • We did an experimental play where we talked about the audience too. But this well your play much better then ours!

  • oh sweet; I'm going to direct this play this year, and now i get to see it!

The actors need to work on their comedic timing.

  • its 3 days not 30 minutes. even though they do open in like 30 minutes. im doing this for speech

  • yeah, i changed it because i thought it might be too confusing otherwise.

  • yeah by the end end after reading some coments i noticed that. Me and my friend are going from like halfway down page 10 before he speaks t the audience and then picking back up with Trichninosis and skipping all of doris' lines.

  • Haha, actually, that part was because the actor (who was actually the "writer") messed up on his lines.

  • the one in the blue toga looks like the guy from PMK

  • We did this in high school... I was the Man in the Audience.

  • I did the opening of "God" for a duet acting scene for the International Thespian Society, The character of Actor was played by a girl (me) and writer was played by a guy. It was a load of fun and we ended up earning a superior for it :)

While figuring out how to play the character I watched this clip, and it did help me alot.

Of course, our version was very different, but still it was cool to see how others did it.

    Thanks for posting!

  • I squirmed for 2 minutes then turned this video off. Hope the 'actors' have real jobs. Not that I could do any better, but at least I know what I can't do, unlike them.

  • well, i think its more of a "you had to be there" thing. we really changed a lot of the script to pertain to the town we were in and what was going on. we used a lot of non-actors to put on a great play and had a lot of fun. you're entitled to your opinion certainly, but for what we were doing, i think we did a great job.

  • They ruined his play. Talentless fucks...

  • haha... this is hilarious. low production or not, Woody's writing makes it worth it. cheers for postin' it.

  • to much use of the hands . . . poor rating it deserves.

  • Okay, you're a opinion is really important. Especially in the great scheme of things. Really!

  • Yes it is apparently important enough for morons that contradict themselves to reply. . .

  • I agree with jeanpierre, these guys suck.

  • boorrring!!!!

  • then get a fucking job and do something with your life instead of mindlessly rating videos and bitching about them online. Thanks!

  • they can't act

  • Great play... but uh... the acting ain't so hot. I did this show last year in high school (I'm the guy in green) and we did soooo much better.

They're playing the comedy too much - the truth is funnier.

  • woody rules.

  • Thanks for a. producing this and b. posting this. I've always wanted to see a full-blown production. Well-done!
