@Sagax05 - you're wrong when it comes to the glee cast not singing their own songs. How can you say that when they've done concerts, and even sung at the whitehouse? They wouldn't be lipsyncing at those events.. plus ; According to IMDb's trivia section for the show's page, "All cast members do their own singing and dancing." And they are incredible. 'Nuff said.

i honestly LOVE Finn. Very much. But Puck is SUCH a better singer. I don't understand how he wasn't cast as the lead male singer.... but they're equally hot. in different ways :)

@lindsayleavittxo I think it's because whilst Puck has an amazing voice, Finn's is more generic; it's the basic 'male' voice, which, although good, lacks character (like Rachel's for the girls). But that's what they wanted out of a male lead; they wanted a comfortable, generic voice to lead, rather than one very clearly better suited to any particular genres. Hence why Rachel and Finn, although nothing particularly special (compared to the character in the others' voices), get most of the solos.

@13pangea Sorry, but I don't agree :) obviously Billy Joel does it the best. He is incredible and no one is ever going to be able to surpass him. Everyone else, however, has every right to sing it too, hell, I was singing along at the top of my voice in the car with my dad earlier today :P it doesn't matter how bad it sounds when you do it, because you're just paying your tribute to an amazing song, and showing it some love. :)
