I find this ending mundane and as disappointing as the rest of the film. It wasn't a bad film just more than a bit boring, never fulfilling it's promise of the legend of the mandrake..She just runs off to a happy life after she treated the first 4 men with disdain, can you really change who you are by finding out what your roots were ?
The ending did pick up a bit. Overall it was a fair morality play. The theme in its' various forms continues in cinema production companies to this day. Thanks for sharing.

oh yes perfect ending i love this <3 best first black and white + silent film ever! this is like the bridge for me to other old movies.
