@blackthorn321 Do you realize how hard it is to play defensively in umvc3? Everyone in the cast can preform a touch of death combo. And everyone has 50/50 mixups that are easy to execute. It just shows how much you know about this game. Maybe its not entertaining but when you analyze what is going on, you realize how hard chris has to work. I'd rather watch this rather than level 3 x-factor wesker opening up people for free. playing offensively in this game is almost skilless.

Wanna beat this Morrigan team? Play either Captain America or Taskmaster , either on point or Level 3 X-Anchor. (Cap prefferable). The Charging Star is completely projectile invincible, so if you've got any sort of meter, wait for the Doom call, Heavy Charging Star, and the (and this is crucial) before that animation is over, cancel it into Hyper Charging Star for massive Birthday damage. Follow up with DHC or X-factor reset. Team dead.

What makes rushdown fun is the fight to get in. When there's no fight to get in and it's just two people pressing on stuff it's not as interesting. It's the balance of rushdown vs. lame that makes fighting games truly interesting. Not just pressing on buttons.

@keyzack With Missiles, teleport won't work, if you teleport in front, the soul fist will hit, behind or above, the bloody missiles will hit, so playing against him, you probably have to use the same shit as him, or someone with long reach, I use ghost rider for this one purpose.

@keyzackThere are many ways to get in, Sentinel drives, spencer, Sometimes Hulk and Nemesis because of the moves containing armor, but I go for that ridiciolus range ghost rider, and to mention that bike hyper goes through pretty much everything, and spiral flame blocks projectiles. My priority is to take care of those bloody missiles, because it sealed up me Vergil's rear and top teleport.
As much as this is a legitimate way to fight, it is just way too boring to watch. I'm sure all that matters is wins but if this is where UMVC is headed then it's just going to lose fans. No one watches streams and tournaments to see this.
Its so annoying to play a player like that but hey a wiin is a win and you do what it takes to win and find tactics to beat it regardless of how frustrating it is to play

Not at all. If you take a fireball, it just means you need to learn how to dodge the next one. In this case, you learn to wait out mirror image cause that's whats causing your problems and patiently press into midscreen. Once you're there, Its possible to get a hit in and kill Morrigan.
But, your primary concern should be punishing doom when mirror image is gone cause he stays out for a very long time and the morrigan player NEEDS to call him out to keep this lock down up.
I find it amusing that people complain about Morrigan's zoning, or any zoning for that matter.
You might as well complain in a chess match that your opponent isn't throwing his pieces into your queen to die, and is therefore "being lame" because he won't fight in a way that's easy for you to deal with.
I'm honestly quite glad to see some strategy going on here from both players as opposed to watching people repeat the same easy rushdown stuff over and over with Wesker, Wolverine and so forth.
I mean...the morrigan thing was cute at first when dieminion was doing it but it's getting played, tired of seeing it. i hate when i get ready to watch a match and all i see is morrigan throwing soul fist all day...moving on to the next video.
Seems pretty interesting ChrisG stuck to the Morrigan fireball shower for so long, even after Pie figured out how to counter about half-way through. He should have mixed it up, tried something different.

What makes rushdown fun is the fight to get in. When there's no fight to get in and it's just two people pressing on stuff it's not as interesting. It's the balance of rushdown vs. lame that makes fighting games truly interesting. Not just pressing on buttons.

@keyzack With Missiles, teleport won't work, if you teleport in front, the soul fist will hit, behind or above, the bloody missiles will hit, so playing against him, you probably have to use the same shit as him, or someone with long reach, I use ghost rider for this one purpose.

@keyzackThere are many ways to get in, Sentinel drives, spencer, Sometimes Hulk and Nemesis because of the moves containing armor, but I go for that ridiciolus range ghost rider, and to mention that bike hyper goes through pretty much everything, and spiral flame blocks projectiles. My priority is to take care of those bloody missiles, because it sealed up me Vergil's rear and top teleport.

As much as this is a legitimate way to fight, it is just way too boring to watch. I'm sure all that matters is wins but if this is where UMVC is headed then it's just going to lose fans. No one watches streams and tournaments to see this.

example matchups, Cable, Strider and Spiral.

Not at all. If you take a fireball, it just means you need to learn how to dodge the next one. In this case, you learn to wait out mirror image cause that's whats causing your problems and patiently press into midscreen. Once you're there, Its possible to get a hit in and kill Morrigan.
But, your primary concern should be punishing doom when mirror image is gone cause he stays out for a very long time and the morrigan player NEEDS to call him out to keep this lock down up.

I find it amusing that people complain about Morrigan's zoning, or any zoning for that matter.
You might as well complain in a chess match that your opponent isn't throwing his pieces into your queen to die, and is therefore "being lame" because he won't fight in a way that's easy for you to deal with.
I'm honestly quite glad to see some strategy going on here from both players as opposed to watching people repeat the same easy rushdown stuff over and over with Wesker, Wolverine and so forth.
