THAT is the fuzz tone I have not been able to get with any fuzz since my 1991-ish made fuzz face was stolen off my pedal board (when everybody had a hair metal chorusy tone THAT sound stood out).
It's turbulent and spitty, the notes squish on the attack and morph out.Must get one!
Your demos would be more helpful if you demonstrated how it sounds at different gain and volume levels and maybe roll back the guitars volume to show how well the pedal cleans up, etc..... Very nice pedal though.
@MrHollydaye If one has cool gear and one can't properly demo said gear, call someone over who can actually play so we can hear what the gear is capable of or suffer the opinions of the public. Feel free to opine on my videos.
I just got a Skin Kontrol-Skin Ei clone of a 1969 univox superfuzz made to the original spec with NOS parts etc.even the pcb was taken from a rubbing of the original.. for £80 on ebay. search the pedal name on utube and send this guy a text if you want one!
Nice! I used to have one just like it, followed by one of the orange and blue ones. Now I have a Wattson SuperFuzz. Exact same circuitry and sound, and only $150.

It would have limited uses, but I must say that this is one of the more unique sounding distortion boxes out there.

How did you manage to get one of these? They're great! Your one of the few people nowadays who can get Pete Townshend's tone on Live at Leeds.

There are many clones about.
You could also build one yourself.
ChimichangaCongo 3 years ago 2
true enough but there's just something about having a legit Univox Supefuzz, or any old pedal, isn't there?
