He can't even be rated against Joe Perry. He's a completely different kind of guitarist. This lead style is a little more like Brad Whitford of Aerosmith. Very similar in style. More melody and solo mixing. It's more simple, but, its understated nature says much more.

I like him as an artist. He's a good guitarist.

Not only that, but a lot of those licks are traditional blues things that all the guys did, even before Stairway. People who draw these comparisons almost always have a narrow knowledge of music history and do not know how to play guitar, or do but suck at it.

The thing that seperates Craig from Perry or Slash is he plays for the love of music not to become more famous than the front man. He's written music for alot of people including Lenny and The Black Crowes. So in that respect he is waaaay better than those two jokes cuz it's not about him, it's about the music. AND THAT'S WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT.

Page does alot of speeding up, slowing down, stretching out time, etc.

He pays good homage to Page, but he shouldnt be mentioned in the same sentence.

you can see a LOT of Slash's influence in his playing, but i mean A LOT, he plays in pentatonic only(based in the other videos i saw) and when he bends the higher strings he just create a vicious circle that repeats and repeats, just like Slash in the beggining, also, like the other videos i saw of him.

i mean, this guy has NOTHING to do with Slash and Perry, and both were influenced by Page.

Well I think Slash is better than this guy, but your appreciation that repeating the same lick when bending the high strings and playing the pentatonic scales is Slash's ifluence does not make much sense. There used to be thousands of guitarists who would do that before Slash. Of course Slash can do that really well.

Craig rules. That solo might have been simple, however, it was INCREDIBLY melodic and groovy. Not to mention that his vibrato is beautiful. And he looks badass while doing all those poses. He definitely has the same spirit as all Rock guitarists from the past. Heck, if it were still the 70's, he would be considered a legend....
