The lyrics are by Pandit Bhushan - a HINDU. It was originally song by Kundan Lal Saigal ( a Hindu Panjabi)  in a film called My sister in 1944 - When Pakistan had not been created. Please try to understand history. Also Saigal can be a Sikh, Hindu or Muslim name - it is a Panjabi name.

When I listened to Nashanas, he took me back to those dayswhen I wasa student at Lahore 40 years ago, I have friends who had come to Lahore to study, In their company I came to know of Nashnas. God bless , he is such an outsanding singer and I have been hit by nostalgia right now as this ghazal (K.L.Sehgal) was one of favourites of my late Cousin, may his soul rest in peace.
