Leona's voice is just "meh" ok passable to me, remember that she looks up to Christina though...Christina's voice is on another completely different level. I hate how Leona has to put vibrato on every single fucking note that she does...so bland and puts me to sleep. Leona, mariah, celine, and whitney, handle their vocals similarily. Christina is the only one who can show anger, pain, sadness, as well as happiness through her voice, she uses it more emotionally than all the others, which is why I think she is a better vocalist.

I love them both! I personally think Christina is more exciting and has better stage presence. But Leona sings with more ease and her whistles are better... but while she sings sweetly I think that Christina's strong vocals make her a winner for me! But I definitely like listening to them both!

I forgot to mention that Leona's formal training in Opera helped developed this sound, as a result it's much more easier for her to switch from Chest to Head and make it sound smooth. The training also translates well into her performance: It doesn't make her look like she's straining with constipation.

Christina is such an aggressive vocalist and this puts a lot of people off as this translates into the sound.

Compare this to Leona's which sounds much more effortless. She doesn't have to force her head voice and so translates into a more 'sweeter' sound.

The problem with forcing the head voice, is that it will always sound loud/ at full volume and strained/harsh.

Both are great - Xtina is great in studio and hits some very impressive notes. However, she never hits her 'high' notes live, she always skips them and changes the key. Leona always hits her high notes live. Overall, I think Christina had better stage presence, but Leona has a more effortless chest range - and thus more future potential.
