David Bowie is 64 you ignorant twit, as if he's still going to be recording music. And you know what? He released his last album only in 2003, which is really quite impressive - a music career spanning 4 decades! Now mikerock perhaps could have been more tactful, but in part I agree with him. Noel didn't give the song his own spin imho. But still, it's my own opinion and if you disagree I'm fine with that... just don't insult a music Great like David Bowie in the process.

Ive always liked Oasis and we do Heoes. But it can be a very, very boring song unless you put the necessary dynamics into it, both vocals and instrumentation.

Oasis, bless 'em, go at it 100% from the start, but leaving no space to increase the dynamics of the performance. See Bowie do it live - Concert for New York, with Queen, or all other concerts and he does the business.

This is an absolutely fantastic cover. The original song was recorded and performed by it's creator - take a bow Mr Bowie - so of course it'll have more connection with it's meaning and soul. But Noel makes this his own and you can tell he is loving every minute of it... just as i am by listening to it again.

Much better than The Wallflowers' version. That one sucks due to the whispering voice from the singer and because the only good song by The Wallflowers is the one appearing at the opening of the TV Series 'The Guardian' (the one starring the same guy who's at 'The Mentalist'). I know, distortion that some people may not like, and stretched out lyrics, but it sounds nice.
