I have been a fool, decieved by the senses. It is time to throw away all these ideas of me and mine, especially the idea of my body. May all know peace, may all have the good fortune of practicing kriya yog.
@shenvisagar He was referring to the fact that India, or the East, is the source of yoga. The fact that Europeans and Americans come from the West to teach is somewhat ironic. Unfortunately in the West, the concept of Yoga is simplified, by the uniformed Occidental mind, to be little more than mere postures, breathing exercises and mantras. So the West should listen and learn from the ancients of the East and not set themselves up as experts, which is typical of western arrogance.
@HamsaYogi I understand what you say here, in many cases. However the reverse is also true. Often it is typical for the arrogant "easterner" to assume it is impossible for the "westerner" to ever master yoga or to become experts themselves. We are all taught by someone else; if the lineage and teaching is True then ones ethnicity or nationality is irrelevant.
Not a word out of this man's mouth smacks of falsity or insincerity - not to me. I love the syncretistic message, that focuses on individual spiritual realization over devotion to religion or dharma. This is a powerful message. And he's so consistently eloquent, not a single pause, no ums, no ahs, no ands. Straight, pure wisdom. That's my testimonial.
@vja1970 A vegetarian diet is very helpful, especially by avoiding beef. A diet that calms one's nervous system is the way to go. Fruits, vegetables and proteins from eggs, curd and some fish and fowl. Eat foods that are fresh and unprocessed whenever possible. But don't focus too much on the diet. Focus more on devotion for God instead. 3~HY
I like the body / spirit contrast. Soul with the shadow of a body.
However, although the comparison works nicely from a spiritual standpoint, I don't see the connection from a literal view.
My consciousness is the result of electrical impulses within the brain, these impulses create the illusions that form my being, this network of electrical impulse then extends out to my body. I am one being, connected.
is there a way to tap into the might of brahman to make one able to express powers in this world, to transform atman and the illusionworld into brahman itself? i wan tto blur the distinction here now, dissolving maya and living forever without tasting death
Don't give up just as you've reached the goal. Yogiraj is the exception and is a True Master. Come to an event and experience the gift of His enlightened conciousness. You will not be disappointed.
Thank you for this information. As someone who has had many experiences out-of-body, I am on a search to find my true nature and to find the right path I need to follow. While I've spent much time reading and praying, it seems that the time I spend being silent in meditation is the most beneficial, as I've learned that my consciousness seems to shift from my physical body to something beyond. And I've only seen but a very small glimpse of that which awaits beyond this material world.
I totally agree with thus;"Spirituality" is quite "practical," very "practical," intensely "practical." It teaches that
Spirit is the Real Thing, the Whole Thing, and that Matter is but plastic stuff, which
Spirit is able to create, mould, manipulate, and fashion to its will. Spirituality is the most "practical" thing in the world -- the only really and absolutely "practical" thing that there
What you are speaking of is not Kriya yoga but rather TM-transcendental meditation, which it would appear you were involved with. It would seem you are confused.
Thanks for this video. The lesson that we are not this material body, we are a spirit, eternal soul is key! And to stop identifying with things like depression, disease and the material condition and start identifying with the true self is the most salient info. Krishna teaches this in The Bhagavad-Gita. People need to get this.
I look around and see your comments and my heart is stilled. You take a man from the solar dynasty and slander his teachings with obscene senses of humor. Truly none has been learned from this video for those whom i speak of. One must control his tongue and his mind or let himself fall into his animal self which is not the true self, or god would not have created the polar divinity that separates us from the animal. Remember this and practice it and meditate upon it or not.
Take your selfrighteous diatribe elsewhere..BTW Jesus went toIndia and TIbet to complete his Yogic teachings before he came back. This was removed from the Bible for obvious reasons, how can a "inferior" race teach the CHrist. Yes,we Indians are the Aryans, not you europeans!!-LOOL
yes but there are ppl who would rather we not know, and they deceive and mislead us, the devil is alive and breathing , if jesus draws his power fro kriya yoga, where does the devil draw his power??
The devil is a Christian myth. There is no such character in Yoga teaching. The closest parallel is the force of Maya, which is not one being, but a power (maya-shakti) which keeps embodied souls in material delusion, until they sincerely seek the spiritual path..
Well then, G-d agrees with you on this, or you agree with G-d, for the Just One says: Don't exult in anything but knowing and understanding Me: exersize lovingkindness, judgement and right-use-ness in the earth. You wanna be like G-d? You do that.
Marzett918......... DONT YOU THINK WHAT YOU DO IN OFFICE SITTING ON YOUR BUTT AND WORK. PREACHING AND REALIZING GOD IS NOT AN EASY TASK. There is thought to be a connection between via the Yahdavi clan of Krishna, who migrated from India around 3000 BC...around the time of the beginning of Jewish (Yahudin) history. The similarity between Yahdavi (Ya-hu-dvee) and Yahudin (Ya-hu-deen) is uncanny.
It's unfortunate I had to wade through 100 posts of bigotry to get to your post. "My mind was stilled".... Me too! but not this one, it was on a different clip... I thought I had gone completely crazy! Thanks for noting your experience! I swear I thought I had gone schitzo!
Yoga means "Union" with the absolute. It is a Holy Science that leads one, over time, to the Truth. There are numerous types of Yoga for people with different temperaments. There's Bhakti Yoga, devotional yoga, Jnana Yoga, yoga through wisdom, and many others.Kriya yoga awakens a dormant force called Kundalini. This force gradually breaks down all barriers,so to speak, between the individual personality and the Divine. The Truth can not be described in words,it has to be experienced or realized.
Amazing video. Who is this saint/master? He's unique and inspiring without seeming pompous or egotistical. I sense a deep honesty and sincerity in this humble yogi.

Yeah ... I'd agree with that .. state of mind is very important!

Actually, Krishna and Arjuna got Maya, an architect
slash Rakshasha, to design the city of Yudhishthira.
So, at least in the Mahabharata, Maya was personalized.
