have had land rovers all my life and have never gone wrong. so wanted a change and my mate had a land cruiser so bought the land cruiser had it 2 months and land cruised it right down to my local car dealer and swapped it for a defender. land cruisers are useless jap crap and i would never get anything but a land rover now. they are basic but they last and are more reliable and better built
okay, lets sort this, 200tdi & 300tdi's great but bring a tool kit, TD5 useless, TDV6 even worse(disco or defender) over reliant on electronics no good in the bush if you have to plug your laptop in, forget the freelander get a Rav4, dont bother with a rangie over priced poor reliability, get a LC d4d. Both LC's and LR's are great vehicles, however if gun to my head LR defender 90 300tdi above this a LC everytime. Owned about them all, current vehicle LC 3.0D4D.
look at thetire tracks in the begining and look at the tire on the piece of shit land rover at the end.doesnt make since they probaly just flew in the land rover and set it there and made a commercial about it.
marketing...thats funny seeing how they dont advertise like LR does, I own 13 Land Cruisers and have taken all on safari with me and they have never let me down, all of the villages I lived in, all had Land cruisers as well, no LRs. see when you depend on your vehicle for your survival I and they never pick anything but a Cruiser, Ive taken a D90 and rover classic once each with me and both times they broke down, in fact the D90 literally almost got me killed, my Cruisers have had no trouble

No offense, but I had two FJ40's (1971 & 1982) and sold them out to buy a 1969 Series IIA Land Rovers. Why? Tell me my friend, how many countries rely the defence of their country on Land Cruisers? And in how many wars were Land Cruisers proven to last? If you buy a brand new Land Cruiser, it won't survive on a beaten track as is. Land Rovers aren't as comfortable as Land Cruisers except for Range Rovers - but there's nothing compared to Land Rovers when you talk about ability and durability.

Explain all of the Re-Calls they get then!!!! - Land Rovers never get Re-Calls because they are designed better and built better! A Land Rover Range Rover Vogue! - in over 6 years it has never let me down! i heard cattle with it, i tow cattle feeders with it, i use it to drive 20 killometers through rough gravel, deep mud pits and streams to get to the other side of our property to fix a fence! - NEVER FAILED ONCE!!!

by far the best advert for Landrover is the fact that 70% of all Landrovers ever made are still in fully working order, and that excludes ones that have been exported to countries with no records
