Honestly I would remove all foreign aid and involvement and focus on internal problems until the unemployment returned to the levels under Clinton and the national debt is paid off. I would hope if a US attack on Iran seemed more imminent the public would pushback given the experience with Iraq. Of course there are people that think we should attack Iran but I'm not sure if push came to shove how many would indeed support such a war. Iran has 3X the population and almost 4X the land of Iraq. Two weeks ago the congress passed a bill which included an increase in aid to Israel, as if the 3 billion a year was not enough. The very next week the president announced he would be requesting a debt ceiling increase of 1.5 trillion.
