Our Hero Ralph Nader might be getting a little old to run again, but if Ralph is in good health, I am looking forward to voting for the Nader/Gonzalez ticket in 2012 and will make sure MANY people follow my lead.
EVERY U.S President will protect the interest of the ruling class, anyone who comes close to wanting to create any type of REAL revolution will be shot dead faster than you can say 'look out!'
Democrats and Republicans are like two royal medival families battling for power between one another's city states- and if any third party gets ib their way, they will plow through that party, smothering their organizations and making their people cry in horror at a politician with a trajic story of being a hero untill the Democrats decide to mess up their reputation. Doesn't this remind you of what they did to Ralph.
Ralph Nader is one of the most respected person in the nation by ppl who know there 2 cents worth of modern history I see that your just an ignorant fool who doesn't know anything and doesn't care to learn anything. Please leave this country and go to a dictatorship where you will be happy by not being confused by having to chose representatives.
IN the USA the gov. sees Hispanics as white. They are consider in the same group. But for some reason it seems like they dont want to acklodge them and give them the respect they deserve that is WAAAY long over due. I mean did u support Peter Camejo, Crus Bustamante, Abel Maldonado, Rocky Dlegadillo and now Bill Ricahrdson. I was extremely dissapointe with Delgadillo and Richardson when they endorse Obama for the Democrats when we clearly had way better canidates; Kucinich, Paul, Nader Gonzales
That's because Mr. Gonzalez is a Criollo, not a indigenous Mexican or Mestizo... Very few of the latter sort are on par with an Iberian-American (not really Mexican-American) like Gonzalez.
I was calling myself Mexican-American. I long eschewed the Hispanic tag a long time ago. But where does it stop though; it seems like nothing is right. Latino is "not right", Hispanic is "not right", Chicano is "not right" lol. It's kind of a catch-22, with no overall right answer. I guess you just identify with what's close to your heart.
From what I read in Wikipedia, Gonzalez considers himself simply Mexican. And ain't nothing wrong with that.
A lot of those terms you mentioned are ridiculously distorted by Americans. An Argentine fellow I knew who lived in Australia hated the term since it gave this impression that a very diverse group of races who happen to have Spanish last names or hail from Spanish-speaking countries are somehow a single block with a single interest and a single outlook. Very wrong indeed.
Gonzalez is great! Now- there is only one president at a time. That means the important thing about electing a president will always be having a coalition. Naderites could be part of that coalition and then keep supporting 3rd parties in the Senate & House, and the important social issues. Maybe if Nader went vegan all the way, by stopping killing he'd feel that oneness, and realize his work should focus on every level but presidential elections, where all of us just get one president.

Although I do like Nader, I would be more pleased if Matt Gonzalez were running for President. But until that day comes I will vote for him as veep in this election.
I'm AM glad THIS man is Ralph Nader's Running Mate! HE'S Outstanding! He also made it clear about Barack Obama and his view of 'Change'. Again, Matt Gonzalez IS Outstanding!
I think that Americans want their country to be back to 'normal'. They want the corruption and problems associated w/ the bush regime to be gone. The Democrats have promised change for the American people but if you take a close look at who they're shaking hands and sleeping with, it becomes obvious that they are not out to empower the people of this country bout would rather suppress us with socialism disguised in capitalism. All fueled by corporate greed. Our achilles heel. Vote Nader.
I have decided to vote for Nader Gonzalez. I just sent Nader $1,000. I would rather vote for someone who openly calls for a total withdrawal from Iraq. I just wish he would come out for Decriminalization of Heroin, since the junkies & dealers send $1 billion to the Afghan war lords. If we take the profit out of the Heroin sales, growing poppies will stop.
I feel sorry for you Obama supporters. You are being fleeced by a slick snake oil salesman . Please don't compromise your intelligence & believe the rhetoric of this puppet of George Soros and Brzenski.
Check out Obama's voting record and you will see his rhetoric does not reflect his voting record. Google "The Obama Craze Count Me Out" & look at his voting record - that does not lie! projects(dot)washingtonpost(dot)com/congress/members/o000167/ -
Obama wants big goverment & wants to give less power to the people. He voted to renew the Patriot Act.His great "change" plans have no substance-he has no real plans for sustaining these "great false hopes".
BTW,Nuclear Power is not a clean power-It is a very dangerous-and it generates radioactive toxic waste.Would you like to live next to a nuclear waste dump?I don't think so!Solar and Wind Power are the only true Clean energy sources. Think about Chernobyl and 3 Mile Island. Need I say more?
BTW Wind and Solar power will not power nearly as much as a Nuclear Plant. Sure the Nuclear Plant in Chernobyl was really bad but from the reports it is clear that their was massive incompetence on the part of the entire staff. There needs to be a combination of wind, solar, nuclear, hydroelectric, geothermal, wave power, and tidal power. Don't be so naive and think that BS.
Illinois residents voiced outrage 2 years when Exelon Corporation had not disclosed radioactive leaks at one of its nuclear plants, Junior Senator Obama, took up their cause (sort of).A closer look tells a different story. Obama eventually rewrote it to reflect changes sought by Senate Republicans, Exelon and nuclear regulators. The new bill removed language mandating prompt reporting and simply offered guidance to regulators, whom it charged with addressing the issue of unreported leaks.
DUH....I realize that sole reliance on only one "green" energy source will not work. Some ares of the country don't get much sun (like Seattle).
Do you realize that the only thing that nuclear power plants do to generate power is boil water to create steam - the steam is the actual energy source! There are much safer ways to make steam. Obama praises nuclear in spite of his nuclear safety oversite in Illinois - he has proven that he will bend to suit the needs of the corporate powers.
BTW, Obama has no real accomplishments as a senator. Matt Gonzalez(as a San Fransisco President of the Board of supervisors) on the other hand, has instituted the highest Living wage/minimum wage in the US that increases with inflation. He implemented IRV voting (instant run-off voting), implemented rent-controls(to guarantee affordable housing),instituted regulations against big-box stores from opening shop in small business areas, implemented bike trails throughout SF.OBAMA pales in comparison!

O wow. Pres of the Board of Supervisors. That's high up on the food chain, wait; no it's not. Great work Matt Gonzalez. Obama has 100 times more accomplishments than a city council kid (almost mayor). Not to mention that he was endorsed by Winona LaDuke (Green VP 2000). Spew your propaganda elsewhere you fake raider. You're candidate is the real oil salesman. Did he tell he has no chance of winning? WAKE UP. Find an article that's not biased: written by Matt Gonzalez or a ChiTrib Clinton backer.
You are totally missing the point. Once Gonzalez was elected, he delivered REAL CHANGE. Obama did NOT!!!! Even Nader, as an non-elected official accomplished NUMEROUS CHEAGES as a consumer advocate & activist. They are as follows: He fought & won the battle for OSHA, EPA, FDA, CPSC,FOIA, Nutrition Labels on Foods, Warning lables on Drugs, Country of Origin labels, Car Crumple zones, Seat Belts/Air Bags, etc. What kinf\d of change did Obama bring to the US as a Junior senator??? NOTHING!
The point IS he would never be elected to anything above city council. That's the point. I know Nader's record as a advocate and activist so you don't need to spew it out.
I just stated the facts. Are you afraid of the facts? If so, I suggest you start loonking at your other options in November. This is not a popularity contest like American Idol, this is a serious job! If you don't do your research and due diligence on the person you vote for, all that I can say is that you totally deserve the crappy government you voted for .
Just because I disagree with you doesn't mean that I haven't done my research. I know that Ralph is a great man and I completely respect what he has done for our country. Personally, I believe that he has taken the wrong approach to gain influence on our current government. Think of the momentum third-parties could've gotten if Ralph decided to run for senator, congressman, or governor. Look at politicians like Dennis Kucinich & Bernie Sanders; all they lack great persuasiveness: Ralph has that.
1. ... but for increasing military spending and send the troops to Afghanistan and possibly Pakistan. 3. "Clean coal" is NOT really clean, you do know that, right? He also said that the US needs to explore offshore drilling (his words, not mine). And nuclear power? As far as I know, we have yet to find a way to get rid of the nuclear waste properly. Until then, it shouldn't even be an option!
I'm an independent candidate for Congress who will be on the ballot with Ralph Nader in Pennsylvania's 16th district. Check out my website: johnmurphyforcongress . org and please request me as your friend on Youtube! I'm on Facebook, too, listed as "John A. Murphy."
I agree with much of what Ralph Nader has to stand for...
But how are you going to get anything done in this political climate without the ruleing classes support? In order to change the corrupt system where a good chunk of your politians are morally bankrupt and their constituencies are apathetic and misinformed.
Mr Nader needs to start a grass roots movement and not muck rake an already well established system that only ends up dismissing him.
People are so desperate for hope, and brainwashed that voting third party is "throwing away" their vote, that they are flocking to Obama simply because he preaches progress.
Unfortunately as Gonzalez eloquently outlined, the record shows that Obama is just another establishment Democrat.
And to think the Republicans used to be the purported anti-establishment, "small government" party. They're now the equivalent of establishment Democrats plus hateful fundamentalist Christian social policies.
All true. I voted for Obama in April, and will either vote Obama or Nader in the Fall... either that or organize a bonfire to burn all of the voting machines in the street. Nader is always 20 yrs ahead of everyone else, and fake liberals who are nothing more than lame dem. voters, need to realize that CANDIDATES don't change a thing... people in the street do.. and can do so very easily. Flag pins are the new Monica, (among others), while the DEM plays Reagan while the rest of us sleep.
John "Three Checks" McCain claims to be fit enough to be president, but gets a disability check from the NAVY.
He also gets a government check from the SENATE, although he has the worst attendance record in the senate.
Third, he gets a SOCIAL SECURITY Check!!!
He doesn't return any of these checks to the Treasury (U.S. taxpayers). So, he claims to be for smaller government, but I guess that only applies to you and me.
Gonzales has never done anything meaningful in his time in San Francisco. He is borderline anarchist. Simply saying corporations are bad is not enough for me.
borderline anarchist?....thats sounds good to me. The more I hear from him and about him the more I like Gonzalaz. You can keep your corperate candidate and leave the thinking to somebody else...so go climb back in your box.

everyone should leave this channel.. it has nothing to do with Nader... we don't want to hear about a VP who has little meaningful Constitutional consequence.
Obama = Clinton = McCain = USA further down the drain...
Please vote 3rd party. Mike Gravel is my choice. No one else brought us the National Initiative. That's better than anyone's Presidency. He deserves the Presidency for that alone...
Exxon-Mobil didn't make squat compared to the silent enemy. That enemy my friend is the IMF! (International Monetary Fund). I was liking you up until now. Please figure that out Matt! The IMF is the real evil! My God!

In a video YouTube - Vice Pres Candidate Matt Gonzalez on Biden-Palin debate
Gonzalez came out in favor of homosexuals marriage.
I am not in favor of marriage for them because it would give them the right to adopt children.
They would legally acquire innocent normal children to rape, sodomise and brainwash into homosexuals.
I have one question, are Nader or Gonzalez homosexuals? If so lets be honest about it
and admit it publicly.

borderline anarchist?....thats sounds good to me. The more I hear from him and about him the more I like Gonzalaz. You can keep your corperate candidate and leave the thinking to somebody else...so go climb back in your box.

You don't like one of the highest minimum wages in the country? Instant run-off voting?
BTW it's GonzaleZ. You're probably confusing Matt with someone else! ;)

Smart guy - all he needs now is a haircut! Please get a haircut Matt, you know how shallow the media is and how much appearances help....

Don't do it, Matt! Your hair is awesome and cutting it will only sap your powers

Those are some fighting words. I'd love to see Nader, Gonzalez, or GRAVEL take Obama to task for his supposed change and hope mantra.

This look at Obama is exactly the type of criticism these candidates need. That ridiculous hope bubble needs to get popped.

everyone should leave this channel.. it has nothing to do with Nader... we don't want to hear about a VP who has little meaningful Constitutional consequence.

Obama = Clinton = McCain = USA further down the drain...
Please vote 3rd party. Mike Gravel is my choice. No one else brought us the National Initiative. That's better than anyone's Presidency. He deserves the Presidency for that alone...

Hay Nader I really like your running mate, good choice.

Exxon-Mobil didn't make squat compared to the silent enemy. That enemy my friend is the IMF! (International Monetary Fund). I was liking you up until now. Please figure that out Matt! The IMF is the real evil! My God!
