Most Touhou games have a Lunatic difficulty.

Most Touhou games have an Extra stage.

And I think we can safely say that this stage is what ZUN made when he decided to make a Lunatic difficulty FOR the Extra stage.

I defeated Ran like a week ago and I had a lot of problems with surviving the spawning rings before before you reach her... maybe it will get easier now. Oh, and Yukari's counterpart to Ran's "Siege from all Sides" Spell seems a lot easier.

I haven't beaten Ran yet, but Yukari seems easier than Ran... except that she gets an extra spell card and that her second spell card is different, the two are pretty much the same, really.

Its not as hard as it looks, really.

I've got this game myself, and the bulk of it is about memory: Remembering the bosses attack patterns, and therefore knowing where safe zones are, as well as knowing when to use your bombs and burn a border to save yourself from losing a life.

The Swastika is a symbol associated with many religions, including Buddhism. The Phantasm spellcard has some weird name like "butterfly in the Zen temple" but the extra spellcard with the spinning Swastika was definitely called "ultimate Buddhist".

Holy crap is Yukari's final special purposely made impossible to dodge? Heh your amazing. I can't even pass Yukari's "Shikigami Ran Yakumo" special. Is reimu the best choice for phantasm? Because I use Sakuya.

I use Sakuya B, it assures me a clean sweep of the level with no deaths, plus more room for mistakes with extra bombs.

In the end it doesn't matter who you use. You'll win through attrition.
