  • That is f...... Stupid I trid and noting

  • when i took it out it says time and date may be wrong, then it went back to the same screen for password. I have a dell latitude E5400

  • Do we take it out and start or do we take it out, wait 5min., put it back and start?

  • Just so you know, taking the cmos batt. out won't work on all computers.

  • @reflectionsofme whay exactly will worl fornthese specific cases?

  • hay man if you have a strong password like

    Abc123@A

like this is this possible for this.

  • Thnx dude!!!!! :DDD

  • is there a f****** way to just get the bios password or removing it for a while

  • @Lazikazi1 the bios battery is under the keyboard get the battery out first and then

use a screw but push the lcd untill its flat > the rest ill try to make a vid!

  • what if you have a laptop? i have a older laptop( Toshiba Tecra 8100) and its not easy to access that stuff.

  • why wouldn't they just make the bios password stored in a flash memory chip so it wouldn't need a battery

  • can you help plssssssssss

  • FYI Guys...this is for a desktop computer...

Laptops.? Passwords are stored inside an eeprom chip and it retains it's memory for a long time even when the power is removed.

I looked around on the net and did find some software that Dell uses to change the password in their laptops, it rewrites the info stored inside that chip.

  • So, if I just remove it and put it back, the time will be remembered when it goes back in, right?

  • Do you know how to do it on a toshiba satellite 305

  • hey men. how to remove bios password on my toshiba satellite m45-s165?

  • i took it out for a min or so and when i turned it on it still asked me for the pass..what would happen if u took out the c mos batt and left it out??

  • you have to take it out and leave it out for about 5 min.

make sure you're power supply is int getting any electricity from the outlet...

If you take it out and leave it out then you're date and time will be sacrificed.

  • I leave the battery for 5 min..didn't work, then try to leave the battery out overnight...didn't work..mine is Dell 1000, can you help?
