Example of a great song and weak vocals.

In the beginning you hear the crowd go wild, they really want to love this entry (it was a fan favourite), and as soon Xandee starts to sing you hear the crowd fall flat, as did her performance.

Too bad cause with a better singer it would have had a much higher rank!

Possible reasons why she didn't win (she ended last!!!)

- Ukraine (winning song) preformed right after her

- Most of the countries still had their commercial break during her performance (so they didn't see the entire act)

- The winning song from the Ukraine was great as well (Ruslana – Wild dances) ---- Signed: Me – from Belgium (I really thought we were gonna win that year :-)

@David496 i don't know about that of the commercial breaks, that's against the rules of ebu. Each country must show the whole show, so every song must be showed by the television broadcasters. But it was a great song of my country, and i am sure when this song represent my country this year they will receive more points and maybe winning the whole thing.

The stage performance was ok but I think it might be the reason she came 22nd. Firstly, she should have had either 2 male or 2 female dancers, not mixed. Secondly, she should never had the dummer on stage! He distracts from the performace and takes the focus off Xandee. Thirdly, she shouldn't have worn that dress, should have worn clubbing gear. Loved this song in 2004! One of the best Eurovision entries! The co-ordination of the performance let it down though I think.

Check out the footage at 2mins 12 seconds. Xandee and the dancers are just about to push out from a dance move into a wider shot and the camera suddenly jumps to the guy pretending to play the drums. I's just terrible! Makes the performance look clumsy.

Belgium/Belgique/Belgie always seem to get a raw deal these days. I have no affinity with this country, but you can see how the voting works now. Just be boring, appeal to older voters, sing in an eastern-european language, or just be cute.
