The composer and a production company she worked with put out a CD of a version of the opening and closing songs that is as close to the ORIGINAL original as you can get. In fact four members of the orchestra were in the original 1968 orchestra. If you get this, query me and I can give you more info.

I HAVE AN IDEA! At most hockey games, fans have different chants and songs. If the CBC is so brain-dead as to let the theme song go, we should all go to the games and--instead of chanting the "old stuff"--what would happen if 60,000 or so people started singing the HNIC theme song from the stands?



Spread this idea to everyone you know. We need to get the idea out there. Even if you're not a hockey fan, we need to stand up for Canada's "second national anthem".
