I hope you come back with an updated video that includes some description of how you'll cope with FSS. FSS is the award-winning $1.5 billion Northrop Grumman initiative designed to shred and shuffle perfectly walk sequenced flats so that we will soon be able to re-re-sort them in the street at 8AM. Go Melvin! Great video!
Melvin you said it all. That is how it is. And the part about not talking is true. But I was told, no laughing, no talking, and no smiling. That is the honest to God truth.
True True True. Don't even think about those 1 ten minute breaks and what half hour lunch. That is such a joke. You have to deal with people, traffic, and juggling DPS mail and ooh I have to stop I am getting really mad.
This shit aint funny. Mail carriers are a nice bunch of people but really dont fuck with them. Let them do their job and they will do anything for you. Fuck with them and you become number 23 on their list. Yeah, that kind of list.
My name is Melvin too. 537 deliveries, 12 1/2 miles and six and a half hours on the street, all walking. I deliver, yes, in rain, heat, cold, snow and darkness. I've even delivered in weather UPS and FedEx wouldn't. I love my customers, and will keep coming back too.
Hey Melvin, I heard that computers tell you how long it should take in the field and the post office has taken out the flat cases and has made the letter cases smaller. You keep coming back because you don't have a whole of lot of choices. My first day on my own, I could hardly walk into the house and I sat in the kitchen floor and sobbed for like 20 minutes, How, Why? But I kept going back too.

Why is there never any opening for city carriers?
stimey105 4 years ago
You have to filter up starting as an 89 day substitute or if you are lucky you get to start as a part time flexible sub-carrier.

what do you think about rural carrier associate jobs?
stimey105 4 years ago
I personally only almost got to do a rural route. All I know about it is that I had to use my own car if I accepted the job.
