  • If you don't promise a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty I'm voting UKIP.

  • shadow cabinet AKA SHABINET

  • He is using the vocabulary of Barrack Obama. "more of the same" and "change" are definitely part of the Obama's speaking mannerisms. However, its not as if Obama has a trademark on these words. Still I find it a bit interesting.

  • Cameron was leader 1 year before Obama made his intention clear to run for the leadership.

  • I agree, Cameron has been in politics much longer. What I am saying is that recently he has been spending a lot of time talking about "change". I think him an Obama would make a dam good team leading the free world.

  • yeah,

Cameron also looks a bit young and liberal , even though he's conservative !

  • Cameron subscribes to "And Theory" Conservativism (an idea started by previous Conservative leader Ian Duncan Smith). It's the idea you can be right wing and traditional but still reach out to areas that normally the left wing would. I think it's a good theory to follow.

  • Well he nicked neil kinnocks Time 4 change slogan so why not go international?

  • Ref the the latest comments below from dragonlee90 and Paranornal999.

Gordon Brown on his YT downingst page does not allow users to comment. David Cameron here allows comments and debate. This to me speaks volumes about the differences between the two. David is not wary of feedback, Gordon is. This openess has an impact with the YT community.

  • Very quiet about Tory economics generally don't you think but since the banks that have failed where rushed in to the stock market under Tory economic plans back in the 80's and 90's

Vote Blue feel Blue in the future if you ask me.

  • I'm sure what the Tories privately feel about banking and market regulation is the right thing, but unfortunately Labour have duped the electorate into believing more regulation is needed. It's the case of saying something that many times that people start to believe it.

  • Just have to point out to dragonlee90 its the banks asking for Tax payers money, there the ones with the begging bowls, today 13/10/08 we have seen an end to the so called free for all that was brought about by the Tory party, and as for talent you bet they have that such as bankers!!! just like Greg Hands the little star from H&Fulham where £114.000.000 has gone from the housing repair budge, while they re-brand the area Blue and Green.

Subliminal advert is it not Dave!! from our money.

  • Of course the banks will ask for money. But they shouldn't be given it. They have been foolish, but Gordon Brown encouraged it. The banks, Brown and the British people are to blame for this crisis.

  • You need to look back to the big bang when everything anything where for sale under that terrible vile leader Thatcher, She created this situation its taken time to work through but its now home to roost, notice all the former Building societies she encouraged to float have gone to the wall.

And I think you will find dither Dave is backing this rescue plan, Brown should have tackled this years ago when he warned of the system's problems, he was right the Tories where wrong simple fact.

  • Thatcher advocated a system called monetarism, whereby you CONTROL the money supply, instead of letting it spiral out of control. Personally, I belive Mr Cameron is backing this deal out of political necessity, as the British public have been convinced by that useless moron in Number 10 that he is the master of economics and that only he can provide the solution to a problem mostly of his creation.

  • Indeed you have a point that Dave is only doing it because he has no mind of his own! Well that's what your comment indicates and what we all know. I see you have no idea about Mrs T your living in a dream world, the banks controlled the money supply not the people, I assume your young because if you had lived in those times you would know the facts, I see no need to comment any further to people who make up history. ( Daily Mail fantasy land )

  • The BoE was under government control in the 80's, and therefore they had control of interest rates. So your argument dosen't hold there. Secondly, Cameron does have a mind of his own, but the public hasn't, as they seem to believe that Gordon Brown is a messiah at the minute.

Also, I might not have lived during Mrs T's premiership, but you didn't live through World War 1, and I bet you know what a travesty it was.

  • What has WW1 got to do with anything goodness your a real Tory stuck in the past.

The Tory party supports the BoE and its changes because the PM can not manipulate rates as the former governments did, so that's blown out of the water.

And you think the whole country is stupid well that's why your party is seen as arrogant, but then again you also prove how simple some of you lot truly are.

  • It was a metaphor. You said I wasn't old enough to know what the 80's were like. I said you weren't old enough to be around during WW1, but I bet you know it was a human tragedy. Learn to read my comments.

I'm simple because I have an opinion that differs from yours? That's a pretty arrogant and dare I say it, simple thing to say.

And yes, I am stuck in the past. I would have preferred to be an 18th century English aristocrat, but such is life.

  • Indeed you are stuck in the past and your final point proves all I need to think about you and all those who think the way you do.

Your a true Tory and not a free thinker thanks for proving my points so well Good-bye P.S I am using your comments in my next show how good is that.

  • I have a very independent and critical mind, and I am also a very lateral thinker. My support of free market capitalism during a time when free market capitalism is on the defensive proves it.

Why do you care if I prefer the past to the present, it's merely a personality trait and it is not a negative stain on my character.

You however have to resort to picking apart my character because you don't have the intelligence to address my points.

  • Hello!!!!!!!!

  • Congratulations for an excellent speech which has a good plan and a good team to carry it through. All I wish for now is for Gordon Brown to put the country first for once and call an election.

  • Reminds me a bit of my next door neighbour.... A Spiv!

  • Witty.

  • At least the Conservative party will allow negative comments to be posted on their videos. Try posting a negative comment on any of the Labour Party's official videos and they will disappear; hopefully the Labour Government will do the same.

  • Well if you're trying to put negative comments on Labour videos,I have every right to do the same on Tory ones!

  • I agree you have every right to post negative comments. What i am saying is that while the Conservatives seem to be allowing negative comments, Labour are not. Says a lot for their regard for democracy imo.

  • The Conservatives have more talent in their shadow cabinet than the entire Labour Party. Alan Duncan is a very intelligent man, as is George Osbourne. William Hague is very astute, experienced, and has some very good policies. Michael Gove has unveiled excellent education plans, though I'd rather see another wave of grammar schools to be honest. Labour's cabinet is composed of Brownite arse lickers. There are a variety of people in Cam's cabinet, including some who didn't vote for Cameron.

  • David Cameron has one of those faces that has "DON'T TRUST ME" written all over it. If the tory party want to do themselves a favour they should change leaders tomorrow! David Camerons is only interested in becoming next Prime Misister for the MONEY, nothing else! Boris Johnson would be much better leader as he's a down to earth normal guy.

  • Im fighting for Civilians & Soldiers to stop privatisation of counsil housing and the NHS from the right-wing bankers and politicians who sent our troops into harms way!

  • "Give me the right to issue and control a nations money and I care not who governs the country. Meyer Amschal Rothschild, International banker.

  • The new website is fantastic! The Conservative Partys policies are laid out well and it is obvious upon reading that they are policies that are desperately needed. The Conservatives will give Britain the sound financial management it so urgently requires and will also provide us with a strong domestic and foreign policy. DC for No 10!

  • Cameron for Prime Minister

  • David Cameron will be the next Prime Minister =) xxx

  • i second that

  • Motion carried (Y)

  • Cameron for PM! This guy is straight talking and has common sence.

  • @shltplnk you seem to see the future, so can you tell me if I once will have my own Rolls-Royce?? :D
