And while I agree Captain Marvel seems like he should be too much for Superman, you'll have to research the DCU's creation (God Wave I think) which shows that races like Darkseids are "gods" and Kryptonians are basically right below them. Iirc, the closer you get from the center of the universe the more "godlike" races you get.

It seems that the formula is always the same: they don't want to butthurt the fans of either hero, so the writers always cheese their way out of it by having some mommy come along to break it up.

Most of the fights, though, involve surprise attacks (e.g. sucker punches) or end conveniently before anything gets resolved.
One such example of a definitive win would be in JLA: A League of One, when Wonder Woman KO's Batman. Of course, that's hardly a fair fist fight...
I find it hard to believe that was an actual fight. Sounds like more of a "blindside," otherwise Batman would use some other means to compensate for her strength and speed.

Great video! But I'm going to criticize the actual original movie now. The "castling" was a twist but realistically it should not have worked out well at all. Superman vs Marvel, and Batman vs Hawkman is better suited. While Superman would be able to crush Hawkman like a bug, Marvel would have defeated Batman.

CM is both faster and stronger than him, so I just don't see how Batman can have a problem with Hawkman and not with CM :|. I guess he didn't want to kill him with the explosion, but still....

@187onaPigeon I know. I was thinking that myself. But maybe an Nth metal warhead? I'm not at all sure the stuff is very reactive or if it's even particularly abundant. I think it's rarer on earth even than Kryptonite. So, Bats probably just blew up his whole bank account right there.
In the Comics, I'm pretty sure Superman and Captain Marvel are generally presented as being equals, but here it looks like they use Superman's vulnerability to magic as an excuse to make the fight harder.

@makosharkman I do not think that Superman + Batman really won that fight. It was looking at the end of it like if it was impossible. Marvel and Hawkman really dominated them. In the comics it was more apparent. However, maybe that the wisdom of Marvel did showed up, and instead of turning them in, they talk this out. The fact is that this sotryline was great, and I would love to see the unseen story in the near future... maybe to introduce a new plot or something. It was really good.

They had to make his eyes super-squinty because they only know how to draw one male face, and they didn't want to make it look like Superman was fighting his twin brother. Normally Captain marvel simply has deep-set eyes, but that's with Marvel artists.

Sounds like a glaring case of PIS (i.e. plot-induced stupidity, which is where a character doesn't use their abilities because the plot requires it).

@OreoBrawl He's at the peak of human strength, agility, speed, and stamina making him in better shape than Batman. He isn't as book smart I'm sure but he does have battle intelligence and lots of military training. While Supes handles Atom Cap would be able to set a trap to get Marvel to turn back into Billy. And in the animated movie when you watch the commentary they tell you about the comics etc and they said the serum keeps him from being tossed around like wolverine.

And you're not getting it man The difference between Wolverines and Caps fights with Hulk is Cap didnt get hit as much as Wolverine did. Wolverine continued to charge in and get smacked around. Cap stategized and barley to any hits and he's way more agile that Wolverine their fighting styles are differnt just look at how Cap is able to escape attacks easier

@makosharkman I do not think that Superman + Batman really won that fight. It was looking at the end of it like if it was impossible. Marvel and Hawkman really dominated them. In the comics it was more apparent. However, maybe that the wisdom of Marvel did showed up, and instead of turning them in, they talk this out. The fact is that this sotryline was great, and I would love to see the unseen story in the near future... maybe to introduce a new plot or something. It was really good.

They had to make his eyes super-squinty because they only know how to draw one male face, and they didn't want to make it look like Superman was fighting his twin brother. Normally Captain marvel simply has deep-set eyes, but that's with Marvel artists.

The whole premise is absurd. Captain Marvel would smash Batman flat in less than a second. Unlike Superman, with Cap there's no kryptonite ring to explain how Batman would survive against an infinitely faster and more dangerous opponent.
