  • you dont need to rewax your board every time you surf, but when you do rewax it dont reuse the old wax

  • can i reuse it or do i have to re-wax it everytime i use it?

  • @machinegunfan, patch ur board with sun cure, easy as fuck u can repair it right on the beach if u need to

  • do you have to do a base coat? cuz iv never used it befor and its seemed fine to me just wondering cuz i needa re wax my fish. thanx

  • how do u know what temperature the water is, and were can i buy this wax and i need the wax remover?

how can i patch my board becaus it has some kraks? if u answer any of these ?? thanks in advance

  • so when you run your hands over it it kinda goes do-da-la-do-da-la-doo!! :)

  • Great job on the detail. No other vids on youtube have this much in depth instruction. keep it up

  • hii, im a rollerblader and we use wax for grinding on rails or curbs so that it slides, i just wanna know what surfers use wax forr??

  • @omarguadiana02 its for grip so your feet don't slip off

  • @joeshmoe786 oh ok , LOL Thankss mann

  • @omarguadiana02 grip, the board gets very slippery

  • WRONG

  • If you Have a one from catchsurf or a skinboard just wax every were

  • Are you supp to use wax every time u surf?

  • @kevanlukk its recomended that u top up another layer evrytime u go out.

i wax mine the day before i go out so it will harden more

  • @kevanlukk you can leave it on for a while, but just about every time you surf, grab your top coat of wax and give it a once over if you need to.

With use, some of the wax will come off, so this just keeps it fresh.

  • Does this work for a skimboard also?

  • Thanx, this was helpful.

  • Do you apply a lot of pressure for the basecoat?

  • @jstnhnh yes. but not toooo much. use as much preassure as u wud when ur coloring with crayons.

  • haha the whole nose to tail thing is how ur supposed to put on the wax bro. not where....lol ur supposed to do it up and down then rail to rail.....fool

  • dude,,where can i get cheap wax? i dont wanna spend more than 6 bucks on both bars....im new to it

  • Comment removed

  • stickybumbs are like $1.50 each for basecoat and whichever temp water coat

  • Thanks, just bought my first board, won't feel like a dick going into the shop for the wax now!

  • @drjmac74 dude that is exactly how i felt.... man i should have watched this first before to the store

  • ugly board haha

  • cheeeeeeeeeers :)

  • I just put wax... more easy...and faster do go in water!!!

  • Hey, I'm brand new and this was super helpful. Thanks!

  • nice vid;)

  • Cool video. I've been thinking about getting back into it. I havent been out since Jr. High school and a bit nervous about the whole thing.

  • dude dont worry about it as long as you have fun if u fall get back on and keep surfing till u get your nerve back on small waves then ride the big ones

  • I love that word...."bumps" and "bumpy". lol.

    Good vid mate.

  • you can also get a pair of 40-70 dollar board shorts at ur local surf shop and in the back pocket is a wax comb after your done waxing u ccan comb it to make it have more traction if you like

  • Basecoat is totally unnecessary... you can just take regular wax to your board. Laying down basecoat is just less time you're using your board in the water...

  • it makes it last longer

  • Broha I hear some Cas Haley in the background near the end, excellent tunage

  • hi great video but i have some questions. i am waxing my epoxy skimboard and does it have to be in circles because i went up and down with my wax and then i went side to side with it

  • do you still put on wax if you already have a traction pad?(like for your front foot) i just bought a surfboard at a garage sale and it already has a traction pad

  • it depends on how much wax you want on your board... if you dont feel comfortqable that you can get your front foot on the traction pad everytime, use wax.
