Simply put, Hitman was my favorite ever. 60 issues of truly belly laughing yucks, brutal violence, and yet fleshed out characters that truly love each other. There are countless series with many more issues that have not come remotely close to what Garth did in 60 issues on Hitman.
Hitman is one of the greatest comics ever. Going from comedy dinosaur stories to heartbreaking drama, it was completely unique. Shame on DC for not trading it!
when that JLA/Hitman mini was published, Didio said that if the sales were good, they'd reprint the already published trades, and would complete the series. I think a new reprint of the first volume is coming in june or july
Great vid! I loved the JLA story and the last few pages are a treat if a little sad. I got this off wikipedia regarding Bueno Excellente:obese, sweaty, and bald Latino in an overcoat who "defeats evil with the power of perversion." Generally, the only thing he says will be "Bueno", often preceded by a creepy chuckle. It is strongly implied that he violated Kyle Rayner in some way.
just finished the first volume and loved it. I would definitely buy the reprints, it'd make it alot easier for me, cause right now i have to buy them at very high prices off amazon.
I guess I am lucky that I bought them all when they originally came out. I decided to buy everything that Garth Ennis writes, he is so great. It's nice to hear from someone else who also appreciates his work.
Garth back writing Constantine, that would be a dream come true. Heads up, I'll post the Hellblazer part of this interview in June, then Preacher in July.

Great Interview, i remember reading about it and buying the first issue way back in 96 and kept up. Everything Ennis writes is amazing.

God, I love Hitman so much. I wish he had brought closure to his run on Shadowman V2, though.
All in all, one of the best writers in comtemporary comics.

I really wish DC would reprint the whole thing, I don't know how great a demand there is for Hitman reprints but I'd buy them all.

One of my favorite bits was probaly the way Tommy (Hitman) dealt with Batman by throwing up on him after he'd been hit in the gut by by him.

I would just love it if he did at least one more Hellblazer story, IMHO no one can handle John Constantine like Garth.
