I'm a Helicopter pilot and I used to do this kind of work all the time. The photographer wants to have the boat underway while getting shots from all angles. Usually stills for marketing, sales, etc. It's pretty hairy work - especially if the photographer doesn't understand the limitations of the helicopter. Sometimes they'd want you to track backwards in a spot where you can't even see the boat. SORRY!

I was just about to say the same thing! It does look like a Robinson, but it's definitely not a Police chopper. Either taking stills or video, may even be for a TV ad or film??? That boats gotta be worth a few bucks!!
