To the best of my knowledge, the very President of the PASO (fyi: Pan American Sports Organisation) stated by the end of the Pan Am Games in 2007 that Rio's had been the best edition of the games ever. I hope you don't mind but I feel much more inclined to believed in documented facts.

Sure, the Chicago Bulls and Chicago Cubs are notable teams to Americans, but the Olympic committee took out baseball for London 2012 because Europeans don't play it. What festivities? Chicago is a boring city! No one's saying, "I can't wait to spend the summer in Chicago!" But I hate to break the news to you. The terrorists already won.
