i actually can see traction being a big issue with a GTR, regardless of the fact that it is AWD, its putting out 420hp, my STi is 330whp and will spin all 4 tires.
really. an AWD that "cant get traction" on a dragstrip? lmao. the car got traction, thats just what it runs. 11.6 is a great time and the gtr is by no means slow, but the z06 is faster, despite the bs car and driver crap. stock z06s have broke into 10s and typically run 11.2-11.3. i have yet to see any real world vids of this car being any faster than a z06 in stock trim, let alone a zr1.
Unfortunately, skidpad G's are not a direct indicator of track capability. Things like track times are. Check out fastlaps online and look up the GTR and ZO6 - there is no comparison. I do agree that the ZO6, with a good tire, is faster in a straight line stock - especially after 100 MPH. Ranger has gotten ZO6's into the 10's. But - on a track - even the ZO6 Carbon has lost more than it has won to a GTR. Now with the 530 HP 2012 GTR (0-60 in 2.9) - we'll have to check the 1/4 mile times again.

Yeah and the GTRs were built more for handling around corners. So these cars do really well for Autocross.
