ACtually I've tried extend antena and measure rssi level. I've found that peak rsssi was reached when anteanna lenght was 2 m. Not sure why, but it didn't affected the max range.

how far is your video range i have the same video system as you and still range testing.i have a futaba t6xa transmitter but i dont no the range of that either
@jizzlecash Actually I've switched to 1.3 GHz right, now. I think with biquad antenna i would get 2-3km, with dipole antena, I think up to 700m or so. Anyway RC range was worse, so couldn't test it.

try extending the rx antenna to 2 or 4 meter, making it 1/4 or 1/2 wave. it will make a huge difference.

I usually run both vtx and rx from single 3S battery. Just some LC filtering.

@jacob3800 FPV is something you do, not something you buy. This actual rig is quite on low end, and it's possible to get it for 300-500$.
