I've seen the performances of the top 3, and for me UP deserves the FIRST PLACE but FEU should be on the SECOND PLACE, UST for me should be on the THIRD PLACE... =)

1) routine -- wala ng argumento rito. Panoorin nyo na lang ang mga routine na ginaya sa ibang schools.
2) Cheer -- "we are the tigers, the mighty, mighty tigers..." replace the word tigers with toros and retain the manner it is cheered and what do you get??? The cheer of rancho carne high school from the movie bring it on
3) Costume -- walang patawad... pati si Jollibee ginaya!
this will go down as the best cheerdance routine in the history of uaap cheerdance competition --- along with the taebo, synchro swim, capoiera, and yoga --- but this the best by a mile --- 9751287.
honestly lang f wala cguro na hulog sa mga taga ust for sure sila yung panalo kase kung totoosin simple lang naman ang stunts ng mga taga UP isa pah wala cla masyadong ginawa gimik sa cheerdance di katulad ng mga taga UST. swerte lang taga UP this year kase nangkamali taga UST simple lang taga UP hindi sya maganda para sakin yun lang- UP instructor
in my opinion, mas maraming nagawang stunts ang up and most of them, if not all, were perfect.

do u even know what ur talking about? hehe. anong walang masyadong ginawa? UP, FEU, at ADAMSON lang ang maraming nagagawang pyramids... every year they have something new to show. UST also had their share of originals but UST's pyramids are generally simpler relative to the other squads. very very simple. their routine are all here on youtube... watch and compare all the pyramids. see it for yourself.
yeah well I guess FEU UST and UP were all great. Pro stand out parin tau hehe go UP!
But we must also acknowledge UST ofcourse 'coz despite that fiasco, they still managed to do it well as a whole. I'm really not a fan of this Pep competition thing but not that UP won, i guess NOW i am. wooohooo go UP!!

I noticed that there was one poster here, I think from page 3, who also noticed ADAMSON performace. I think he/she knows what I mean here.
Congrats again to all the winners. Atleast exciting na for thomasians next year, it's a good thing din that they finally lost na. Yung iba kasi parang wa na care, 5 years ba naman.hehe
Anyway, as an unofficial "cheerdance expert" (because I've been watching this tourney for the last 7 years) UST, ADAMSON, and UE is at the top 3. But then again UP was the team that was able to bring that needed intensity for that moment that's why their routine worked. And that's what cheerdance is partly all about. Still my congratulations.
As for Gawi, their routines and choreography are really their own, plus I give them the benefit of putting a really nice twist on old forms and formation. For the choreo, UST still is the best. As for FEU, they still have that problem- really good dancers but a really bad piece, recycled and some not original. My judgement after watching the video over and over...Oh well I'll be killed here if I wud tell.
I watch cheerdance eversince 2000. As for my personal judgement...Well UP did well this year and they deserve to win only because they had better intensity I guess.

The UP PEP SQUAD has done the far more excellent moves (the capoera stunts and the fantastic rolling throws and the all-man pyramid!) and routines in the past 5 years but the crowd didnt appreciate it. but once more,UP has shown how dynamic it's pep squad can be. if the audience isnt wowed by just excellence, we put spice with excellence. Look at how pop and "sellable" their routine was! What's excellence compared to mere existence? GOLD! U-NI-BER-SIDAD ng PI-LI-PI-NAS!

Ang galing ng routine ng UP this year. Medyo boring at kulang sa pitik ang sa UST. FEU made a clean routine version na kuha mula UST and UP. Matakot kayo UP PEP and UST SDT dahil sobrang kopya na ng FEU ang mga steps ninyo. Konting polishing na lang. Congrats sa mga atletang nagpakahirap para makabuo ng mga napakagandang routine. Pasalamat kayo, hindi katulad ng NCAA cheerdance ang UAAP competition. Yung champion nila this year ay comparable lang sa routine ng NU.
im more into UAAP cheerdance just like you but i dont think that the champ of NCAA cheerdance is comparable sa routine ng NU. if that is your opinion, im fine with that but if ur gonna take a look at it, pyramids and stunts of NCAA squads particularly the winners are more like american cheerleading.
this is my opinion: UP champion... no doubt! UST (even without their mistake) is my 3rd. FEU is my 2nd.
Nothing against Salinggawi. Actually in 2006, kayo rin talaga ang champion bet ko. BUT this year, 3rd ko kayo.
What went wrong... bakit nawala yung magic... yung kakaibang feeling pag pinapanood yung gawi na nagpperform. SANA LAHAT NG REPRESENTATIVE JUDGES OF ALL THE SCHOOLS AY OBJECTIVE. COS IF ONLY THEY ARE, HINDI LANG 0.5 ANG DIFFERENCE NG SCORE NG UP AT UST AND BAKA FEU PA ANG 2nd.
i kinda agree. hindi ko masyadong na-feel ang ust ngayon (i've been appreciative of gawi for the past years) at mas gusto ko din ang routine ng feu. pero the weird thing is, i was really pulling for adu to place this year. i found their routine to be better than feu and my other sis agreed with me. or baka kami lang yun? medyo napag-isip din ako sa liit ng difference ng scores kasi parang napapahiwatig na if that one gawi member didn't fall, sa kanila ulit ang title? parang hindi tama.
i think so too. Actually, i heard so many comments just like yours. Many people also think that FEU's performance and routine was better than UST's. FEU should have won the 2nd place. UP Rock! I was among the thousands who shouted, cheered and roared for the UP Pep Squad. It was a great routine - very cleanly executed. At last, we have once again tasted the sweetness of victory after five looooong years. It's great that I have seen the Pep win the much coveted UAAP CDC title just before I graduate. It's sheer bliss.

UP for me are the best cheer dancers why coz they got the originality in thier move perfect gestures and sizzling energy. unlike oders Kulang nalang pati si chery hil gayahin. gaya mga gaya dyan YOUR nothing mga COPykat. and one thing dapat yung mga judges alam nila kung copykat ang mga routine ng ibang school. in short dont get stupid Judge.

1) routine -- wala ng argumento rito. Panoorin nyo na lang ang mga routine na ginaya sa ibang schools.
2) Cheer -- "we are the tigers, the mighty, mighty tigers..." replace the word tigers with toros and retain the manner it is cheered and what do you get??? The cheer of rancho carne high school from the movie bring it on
3) Costume -- walang patawad... pati si Jollibee ginaya!

in my opinion, mas maraming nagawang stunts ang up and most of them, if not all, were perfect.
sinwerte lang ang up?of course not! they deserve it..kung wla mang nahulog sa ust, up still would win it..watch the videos again.
sa mga times na natatalo ung team mo, just be humble (dahil talong talo nman tlaga ang performance ng sdt -even the costume- and u would only fool urself if ndi mo to matanggap)
and if you're a up student, pwede ka ng magyabang! up pep squad did a really great job!

do u even know what ur talking about? hehe. anong walang masyadong ginawa? UP, FEU, at ADAMSON lang ang maraming nagagawang pyramids... every year they have something new to show. UST also had their share of originals but UST's pyramids are generally simpler relative to the other squads. very very simple. their routine are all here on youtube... watch and compare all the pyramids. see it for yourself.

But we must also acknowledge UST ofcourse 'coz despite that fiasco, they still managed to do it well as a whole. I'm really not a fan of this Pep competition thing but not that UP won, i guess NOW i am. wooohooo go UP!!

i'm from up... sana cool lang...walang away... pare-parehong naghihirap ang mga pep squads natin para sa competition... they deserve better. nanonood na lang tayo, manlalait pa... tsk3... para sa mga nagcocomment nang panget (schoolmate ko man o hindi), please watch ur words para hindi kau ikahiya ng schoolmates niyong nakakabasa ng comments niyo. wala pating personalan... ba't naman meron pang mga nagtatawagang bobo...trash talk...

Congrats again to all the winners. Atleast exciting na for thomasians next year, it's a good thing din that they finally lost na. Yung iba kasi parang wa na care, 5 years ba naman.hehe

Anyway, as an unofficial "cheerdance expert" (because I've been watching this tourney for the last 7 years) UST, ADAMSON, and UE is at the top 3. But then again UP was the team that was able to bring that needed intensity for that moment that's why their routine worked. And that's what cheerdance is partly all about. Still my congratulations.

As for Gawi, their routines and choreography are really their own, plus I give them the benefit of putting a really nice twist on old forms and formation. For the choreo, UST still is the best. As for FEU, they still have that problem- really good dancers but a really bad piece, recycled and some not original. My judgement after watching the video over and over...Oh well I'll be killed here if I wud tell.

I watch cheerdance eversince 2000. As for my personal judgement...Well UP did well this year and they deserve to win only because they had better intensity I guess.

naisip ko lang, ung 0.50 difference di kapanipaniwala. nung nakita ko ang mga photos ng UST, sorry to say pero di maganda talaga ung costume nila eh. nagmukha silang mga obese na jolibee. eto ay mga opinion ko lamang.. congrats UAAP CDC at sa lahat ng universities like UE, Nu, Adamson, Lasalle at Ateneo. sana isa nalang sa inyo ung nagkaplace instead nung isa pang school. hehehe

The UP PEP SQUAD has done the far more excellent moves (the capoera stunts and the fantastic rolling throws and the all-man pyramid!) and routines in the past 5 years but the crowd didnt appreciate it. but once more,UP has shown how dynamic it's pep squad can be. if the audience isnt wowed by just excellence, we put spice with excellence. Look at how pop and "sellable" their routine was! What's excellence compared to mere existence? GOLD! U-NI-BER-SIDAD ng PI-LI-PI-NAS!

Ang galing ng routine ng UP this year. Medyo boring at kulang sa pitik ang sa UST. FEU made a clean routine version na kuha mula UST and UP. Matakot kayo UP PEP and UST SDT dahil sobrang kopya na ng FEU ang mga steps ninyo. Konting polishing na lang. Congrats sa mga atletang nagpakahirap para makabuo ng mga napakagandang routine. Pasalamat kayo, hindi katulad ng NCAA cheerdance ang UAAP competition. Yung champion nila this year ay comparable lang sa routine ng NU.

im more into UAAP cheerdance just like you but i dont think that the champ of NCAA cheerdance is comparable sa routine ng NU. if that is your opinion, im fine with that but if ur gonna take a look at it, pyramids and stunts of NCAA squads particularly the winners are more like american cheerleading.

this is my opinion: UP champion... no doubt! UST (even without their mistake) is my 3rd. FEU is my 2nd.
Nothing against Salinggawi. Actually in 2006, kayo rin talaga ang champion bet ko. BUT this year, 3rd ko kayo.
What went wrong... bakit nawala yung magic... yung kakaibang feeling pag pinapanood yung gawi na nagpperform. SANA LAHAT NG REPRESENTATIVE JUDGES OF ALL THE SCHOOLS AY OBJECTIVE. COS IF ONLY THEY ARE, HINDI LANG 0.5 ANG DIFFERENCE NG SCORE NG UP AT UST AND BAKA FEU PA ANG 2nd.

i kinda agree. hindi ko masyadong na-feel ang ust ngayon (i've been appreciative of gawi for the past years) at mas gusto ko din ang routine ng feu. pero the weird thing is, i was really pulling for adu to place this year. i found their routine to be better than feu and my other sis agreed with me. or baka kami lang yun? medyo napag-isip din ako sa liit ng difference ng scores kasi parang napapahiwatig na if that one gawi member didn't fall, sa kanila ulit ang title? parang hindi tama.

i think so too. Actually, i heard so many comments just like yours. Many people also think that FEU's performance and routine was better than UST's. FEU should have won the 2nd place. UP Rock! I was among the thousands who shouted, cheered and roared for the UP Pep Squad. It was a great routine - very cleanly executed. At last, we have once again tasted the sweetness of victory after five looooong years. It's great that I have seen the Pep win the much coveted UAAP CDC title just before I graduate. It's sheer bliss.

Go UP! I was there and UP was awesome!That last pyramid was off the charts especially when they tossed the girl and she landed standing up on the shoulders of the other girls. Amazing!
