@travislee11 In my opinion, people came to see a SHOW, and since I was there, let me tell you, it was the BEST concert I've ever seen. There was enough talent on that stage for 5 bands. Plenty enough to go around.
kja427 --you liberal self righteous a-hole. why don't you take your sensitivity and political correctness and shove it where the sun don't shine. I'm missing a leg and an arm and I think this is great.. It's music you idiot.
I must say that these days, Mr. Cocker would be rightfully villified for how he performs. It seems to me he mocks the handicapped when he sings. I don't like it. It's so politically incorrect, and that's all I've got to say.
These guys were just a little before my time. So, i guess it sucks to me. I do remember my dad gettin' a big kick outta this though and thanx to posts like this i can re-live it.
Now there is two who gave it a thumbs down, Down with you. You must not have been there in those days, both of you need to go out the bathroom window, you have now clue what cool was and is...Who else but Leon Russel could wear a Holy Trinty shirt. and be stoned and still look that good. No one...
Leon is the Epitamy of COOL... He ages like a fine wine... and he can play an instrument I believe... hence the name Genius....they had Good Drugs then ;)
@mhintrepid that lead guitarist is the brilliant Leon Russell proving that piano is not the only instrument he can play better than good. Don't know about the acid, but he definitely is toasted to a crispy crunch.

Reminds me of my Dad - I remember him singing this song (both this version and the Beattles as well). R.I.P. Dad!!! We will always have the music!

@judecreek2 Is that really Leon Russell?

@judecreek2 who on that stage isn't baked? seems to me, you'd have gotten a contact high, just being in the first 3 rows, let alone being on state.
tranurse 4 months ago
@tranurse We always sat in the upper rows, where the smoke collected. You might say, "we were up 'high'.
