@shinobizach89 Well, according to Steve Williams, it was was the most painful $2,000 that Williams himself ever made since he suffered many injuries during taping. That should give you an idea of what the wrestlers made.
Great stuff! I was in elementary school when this show aired. I used to love it because I was a huge wrestling junkie back then. I'm 32 now and I almost get a lump in my throat seeing this intro. Nostalgia is a great thing!
I do have a huge love for Degrassi along with wrestling. When I would watch this as a kid I remembered they must of made this show for me. I think the same thing now at 31. Does anyone know where I can find a DVD or download for this?
This is one of those "did I dream this?" shows. Nobody I know has ever heard of it, but here is proof it existed! If anybody has any episodes, please contact me as I would buy/trade for copies of those! Thanks! This show is classic!
I left Canada as a kid when this was playing, and I had this vague notion of a show I liked watching along with "My secret identity". I couldn't even remember the title.
I will assume that at some point a dvd will come out. (out of my old loves, this and the 80s mission impossible are all thats left unpublished)
I remember this show well. I am sure it would be cheesy as hell if I saw it today, but at the time it was a show guest starring pro-wrestlers and with my Degrassi's own Nicole Stofman. Who at 13 I thought was a mad hot. Thanks for the memories, I think I will avoid trying to see an actual episode and having them tarnished. lol.
it was a bad sitcom that had real pro wrestlers on it....the road warriors and I'm pretty sure Ric Flair were in the opening. Lyle Alzado was a sad cautionary tale for young athletes though.
Why don't tv shows have theme songs like this anymore? They should also bring back the rap at the end of the movie that basically summarizes everything for you.
yes, show had every major star from crocketts NWA on it. My personal favorite was when Dick Murdock moved in with them and brought "Blanch" his hamster, lol
Hey anything with one of my favorite defensive end players playing the role of a pro wrestler and has guest appearances by my favorite tag team the road warriors is enough for me to go check this out no matter how cheesy it may be!

I was a big NWA fan and this show was like a guilty pleasure to see what wrestler would show up on it.

This NEEDS an official DVD release! NOW!!!
Alzado was the greatest NFL player turned actor. Runners up: Bubba Smith, Jim Brown, Alex Karras, Brian Bosworth and John Matuszak.

Bubba Smith was actually in movies that were funnier than hell!

Brian Dennehy and Carl Weathers are two guys I would also put up against the guys you have mentioned.
