Good idea but the problem with this is that when you have a lot of wet leaves and debris packed up in there, do you really want it to "flip" right over your head? I think you'd need a hat, rain gear, etc...
I don't think it will work in Canada, with all the heavy snow, hard packed in a heavy snowstorm, weighing several hundred pounds. The product demonstrator is very pretty though. Thanks for sharing.

it might out-last your roof. mine is going on 10 years with no trouble. the hinges are pretty rugged.
