i agree with the person below me. can anyone tell me if/and why they haven't fixed the dropping the phone and losing your contacts issue? every time the battery pops out, you lose ALL your contacts. it sucks.

you're not supposed to open the screen, dial, close the screen, and talk. while the screen is closed you can just scroll through your contacts and press call. no need to open the screen, as this guy says.

choose the phone option ..it will take you to the dailing screen...it will say "Open screen to dail" but if you use your track ball and go to the look up button at the bottom it will take you to your address book

ok. i already have a family plan with tmobile. and im planning to get a sidekick with the $20 plan. all i want to do is get the phone and switch my old phone sim card and put it in the sidekick. for that do i still have to pay $99? or a higher price? or do i have to get a whole separate connection (by that i mean like individual.. or family plan) because i dont want to get a new connection cuz i already have one. just say you would like a 2 year contract extension (or whatever you want)

that will greatly reduce the price also

and just buy the sidekick and take the sim card out of the old phone and put it in the new one

you dont HAVE to flip the screen to dial numbers, all the sidekick have the [dial with letters] thing on the bottom left that u just click the numbers and you dont have to open the sidekick to do that.

you can just go to your contact which you don't need to open your phone.. and like is pretty easy to use contacts is actually easier than dialing the number and your phone dose not need to be open. and you just press the talk button and thats it.

I think it just comes with the shell it comes in. But it sounds like the shells are pretty reasonable, like ten or so dollars to personalize your phone. I've heard a lot of talk about sidekickshellsDOTcom so that might be a good place to check out different shells!
