I have this camera..I kinda love and kinda love it not.

It is surely an epic camera...my main dislike is the lens offerings are not good at all..sub-par lenses(out of the box)the adapater you need to use the attractive alpha lenses is too pricey and said to autofocus very slowly...it's gimmicky and I think it was not meant to be..needs tweaking and auto-focusing adapters for all lenses you may want to use on it..if the japanese can not offer it..we have to turn to the miracle workers in CHINA.

I know the NEX5 takes better video and this is slightly longer but image wise is this supposed to be identical to the NEX5?

When i select playback in the histrogram mode, i notice that the image starts to blink (in form of white patches) in dark areas & bright areas. I wonder if this is normal. Previously i dont think i encounter this before. If this is normal, are there any way to disable this blinking function? thanks!

@chizomni You can buy that to attach to the top. It's called a viewfinder. The one that you can buy for this is rather a lot in my opinion (Like $200 or more)

@OrangeNightOwl You can buy the 18-55mm lens to zoom. Or you can digitally zoom in after you've taken the picture (With 14mp, digitally zooming shouldn't be much of a problem...unless you zoom too far.)

@PKJannick It would be good for parkour. But get the 18-55mm lens so you can zoom in if your subject gets too far. The rest I'll let the uploader answer.

@unap16 I would choose the GF1 just because of the physical controls. The NEX 3/5 menus are easy to use, but if you already know what you want, imagine having to using it to change something as easy as ISO.

@steliosmusician2 It has something called "precision digital zoom" which is a option you find in the camera menu. It's basically digital zoom, you use the rotating dial to zoom in and out which only works with 16mm lens (which can't optical zoom).

@aaditya32 you can get lens adapters so you can use dslr lenses on it, so yes you can use a fisheye, not sure if there's a fisheye available that you can use without an adapter though.

So you get to select the lens to come with it? So you could have had the lens with the zoom but you didn't want that? I might get this, but I'm not sure whether I should get this or the NEX-5, if you can choose the zoom lens for this at no extra cost I'll probably get this.

Comes with one lens. The 18-55 zooms from 18-55 and the 16mm does not zoom, it is a 16mm fixed focal length. Thx

@revokedknowledge you can zoom when using the 18-55 lens an the camera will focus on the point you aim. but you can change the point of aim
