My guess, is that there are quite a few freemasons working throughout the media industry, at all levels. Sometimes, low level freemasons hide references to their occult symbols in their work, just as an easter egg for fellow masons. Much as other christians will leave references to the fish symbol or cross.
I've worked as an artist in the games industry, and no one ever asked me to include an occult symbol.

The whole fucking world makes sense once you realize what's going on behind the scenes.
