  • Im sure his boss will forgive him. He only crashed a 22 Million dollar plane!

  • The fuel was not cut, the throttle wasn't even at idle, the pilot didn't have enough runway to land on, the airport he was landing at was closed to jet aircraft. This man shouldn't even be allowed to fly an ultralite

  • I hope the FAA burns his license. It's incredible. The pilot doesn't cut off the fuel!

  • How did a pilot this negligent wind up flying a citation?

  • @bugsiez because his money is as green as the next guys, you got the dough you got the type rating

  • omfg keep the fricken camra steady :[

  • well Always a good time with me

  • Always kill the master switch!

  • cool you will see waiting you to teach me

  • @gman846 your correct

  • Anyone got their AAA card?

  • i wana see what happens at the end...

  • hihi If u're looking for a hot cutey, don't look further, Im here 4u

  • Oh Shudder that is one less Citation CJ2 it only proves how powerful those engines are even though they are small hamburger buns.

  • how did the engines start back up?

  • I hate when top rated comments are answers ¬¬

  • What a prick!

  • The title is wrong. It should have read Idiot pilot crashes plane with very poor airmanship. A plane, Citation or other wise don't crash. It has to be the idiot flying it that created the problem.

  • @CaptainArt777 You appear to be very perceptive

  • @hiimbrady Thank you sir. I don't like the name calling and I should apologize, but the Citations are excellent airplanes and they don't crash unless some one did some wrong, pilot or mechanic. In this case the pilot would never fly for me again. He made several poor judgment call which resulted in the crash. Any long time pilot can see the mistake he made.

  • This guy should go for a instructor cert.

  • Are you riding a horse?

  • futuristic flying submarine needs more thrust to weight

  • Comment removed

  • so let me get this straight...he landed with his engines on full power?

  • Who would want to fly with a Charter Jet pilot that was not even Instrument Rated. Very strange for a charter pilot I would think. Weather changes so quick and its hardly an option to go to another airport 100 miles away because its raining where you are suppose to land and the airport is IFR. Also he filed and IFR plan but why would you if not IFR rated. Just glad I was not aboard after reading the NTSB report. Last few mins of that flight was crazy to say the least....

  • Wow Those pilots suck, The were supposed to slow down to atleast 145 knts on landing they were goin about fckin 211

  • Looks like the pilot forgot to push the clutch in too..I can't believe he left the Ignition Main on..Oh well.

  • 31 dislikes? its great

  • @MrJohnpaulson1963 The pilot MUST turn off ALL electrical system, and of course the engines, seems like the fear won over the pilot skills. There is a chain of terrible errors fortuately with no fatal results. I hope.

  • OY-JET , this aircraft skidded off the end of the runway while landing in Bader Field - Atlantic City, New Jersey USA. Fortunately, all survived. The pilot attempted to land on a wet 2 948 foot runway at an airport which usually does not accept jets with a 10-knot tailwind. But the airplane would require 3 500 feet with that tailwind

  • There is nothing wrong with the plane. Just the pilot. Why would any one want to hire this kid again is way beyond me.

  • OY-Vey JET.

  • who gets out without cutting fuel morons... did the tail used to say JOY-JET thats a understatement LoL

  • That plane wants to live !!

  • that must have hurt........the pilots wallet.

  • @Deverestteam $1000 deductible is typical then the insurance pays the rest.

  • @Deverestteam u mean, the insurance wallet. A comercial pilot gets around 30, 000 dollars a year.

A Citation like this cost around 15 millions

  • @Deverestteam Insurance covered it. His new airplane bears the tail number OY-WET...

  • Can you imagine how much money is gone to waste when an airplane crashes like this? I feel terrible for whoever owns that jet, seriously.

  • Shouldn't he have noticed that he probably wouldn't make it and power back up the engine to abort the landing?

  • How doth thou pilot FAIL? Let us count the ways

    1) Strip is closed to jets and is too short for this aircraft, and the pilot knew this

    2) Pilot approached landing downwind

    3) Pilot did not abort downwind landing

    4) Pilot touched-down half-way down the strip and again did not abort landing

    5) Pilot did not complete emergency evacuation/shutdown checklist to cut fuel and electrical power, thus allowing the engines to auto-reignite and take the aircraft for a tour of the bay, you know, for the lulz

  • That's fucking crazy

  • WOW! perfect timing!

  • very expensive Jet Ski

  • citation self rescue:)

  • Good that they survived

  • it wasn't a mistake if the pilot , people ! it was wind's , com on , this happens usually

  • @MrAhaat The pilot landed with a tailwind that was out of limit. It most certainly was the pilot's fault!

  • @jumboJetPilot

thanks for the information , I see many people saying that I'm idiot and so on .. So ?

Shall I be an idiot if I understand it as I know ? you guys could be right , but you don't have the authority ti insult others .. any human does mistake like I did .. so thanks again "jumboJetPilot " for respect I do appreciate what you said and respect it well ..

  • @MrAhaat Thanks for the response.

  • @jumboJetPilot

You're welcome, thx for teaching me a new thing

  • @MrAhaat

    wrong...

  • @MrAhaat What are you, a total idiot or the pilot (which would amount to the same thing)? He landed on a 2900 ft runway (Citation needs about 3500 ft in those conditions); he landed about 1000ft down the runway; he landed downwind-----> and the best you can do is blame the weather??

  • @MrAhaat another clueless idiot on youtube, just what we needed. /s

  • bad pilots

  • I guess the plane wanted to go find a new pilot at the end

  • Funny the guy says 2 million. or 500k try looking at cessnas wesight a new citation cost around 20 million.

  • Ummm. very od. not sure it would start back up once shut down. I would think the Pilot killed fuel when he hit water.......

  • This, ladies and gentelmen, is why they teach math in school. That plane at that weight with the 10 knot tailwind he was landing with takes 3570 feet to land and stop. The runway he landed on is 2948 feet long. He landed 1000 feet down the runway leaving 1948 feet of runway. 1948 feet minus 3570 feet equals negative 1622 feet which equals splash. Also, that airport was closed to jet traffic and that fact was written by the pilot on his chart. DUH

  • @DouglasMiles1 the 3570 ft required takes into account crossing the threshold at 50ft and landing 1000ft down the runway

  • i allways said never drop banana peal on the runway...

  • Into the wind he would have stopped just fine on the pavement. Moral of story, don't be a jerk!

  • Maybe he was trying to get it to the shallow water to save the plane. If that was his plane he might not want to have it at the bottom.

  • That plane probally cost like 500k

  • @ngb033726 500k? try like 15 million

  • @NJsportscrew only about 2-5 million not 15 million. a F-16's unit cost is 15 million.

  • @draesson a new citation costs between 15 and 25 million normally, the only way you could buy a citation for that little is if you bought a used 1980's citation III or older model.

  • @Flightkid9 Actually, the XL/XLS/XLS+ costs about $12 million. I know this because I fly them. The II is somewhat lower in price than the CE-560XL. The Sovereign and the X are quite a bit more expensive than the XL

  • @jumboJetPilot well nonetheless my point is that you cannot buy a citation for 2-5 million unless you bought an old used one.

  • @Flightkid9 Most definitely. And at that price, it would be an old one that would probably need full refurbishment.

  • @jumboJetPilot yes, I just did a quick search and the cheapest citation I could find was a 1984 Citation III which was in need of some pretty expensive repairs and possibly re-certification, and even then it was 4.3 million

  • @Flightkid9 That sounds about right. I'm not sure what new Citation Mustangs cost, but probably around $3.0 million. I know Cessna was aiming to keep them under $2.0 million but I don't think they were able to do so. But a Mustang is kind of like comparing apples and oranges to a CJ2, an XL, or any of the larger ones.

As for myself, as for the other airplane that I fly, the entire fleet is in the process of being re-engined at the price of $162 million per aircraft!

  • @Flightkid9 i went to controller(.)com and found some for 2million a 2002 cj2 and its use. but most people dont buy brand new ones and a 2006 cj2 for 4.2 million

  • @ngb033726 Current used prices (last one built was 2006) for the Citation II run between $700k and $5M depending on year and total flight time.

  • @ngb033726 now it only cost like 100k because of the severety of the crash

  • A boatplane

  • I like this birdie! ))) It's like hydroplane ))) It impresses

  • Did the pilot get his Citation seaplane rating? LOL

  • Can you try and keep the camera still please?

  • I love how the buy in the whaler just slowly manuevers away...with no sense of urgency. I think someone in the boat yelled move it mother fucker!!!!

  • mothafuckers tore ass i would jus jump and swim the fuck outa there

  • how does it not sink?

  • squeaky bum moment for sure

  • Was that the AP?

  • "In Soviet Russia, CJ2 crash you!"

  • Lol.... sad plane

  • Exploredia,com

  • Why is there a fucking lake at the end of the runway?

  • with this idiot action, the pilot destroyed the last working engine too (crash damage +500.000$) - why didn't he wait for a boat pulling him out - or was that a crash-swim test?

  • did it explode ?

  • i love cgi. Lol.

  • a jet ski?

  • In reading the accident report, it appears that the pilot mistakenly filed his flight plan for Bader (AIY) instead of Atlantic City (ACY) AIY-ACY. When he contacted approach he said he was enroute to ACY but the controller directed him to his flight plan destination Bader (AIY). Just one of a bunch of errors this pilot made.

  • The plane's like, "I'm outta here!"

  • In case of tailwind, land opposite side of runway.

  • That guy...is one crazy sahovabitch

  • his first problem is wtf was he thinking not shuting the engine off! lololol

  • wow that amazing

  • in Soviet Russia, Plane is Boat

  • Assholes in the boat have their heads right perfectly lined up with the turbine when the engine restarts, and then they continue to sit there for about 30 seconds. Spinning metal and blades tend to fly outward, perpendicular to fuselage when an engine disintegrates. BOOM HEADSHOT

  • gee that pilot would feel bad. not only did he arse the landing but probably trashed any salvageable parts but not shutting down when he got out....

  • Introducing the new Cessna Citation water craft! No that is sad seeing a 10 million jet sink!

  • @rohanA380 3 million.

  • In soviet russia, plane recoveres itself!

  • attempt to safe him self from plane vieuw

  • dislike because of it hpend but graet video

  • lol

  • Why was he landing downwind?

  • @racear8 Your always suppose to land downwind so that way u can stop easier and decend better

  • @panda100123 ... That would be up wind not down wind... Traffic pattern is take off, turn cross wind, turn down wind, turn base, turn final, land. Flight lessons will teach you this in your first hour :)

  • what what? plane whants to go on shore too!

  • Introducing the new Citation! This craft is a joint effort between Cessna and Sea-Doo

  • suck squeeze bang blow thats what makes my engine go lol

  • waaaaaaaaaaaaay to fast...

  • Ingenuity at it's best! Fire up those Williams FJ44s and push it back to land.

  • @SampleHalo246 Williams sucks balls- point blank-

  • Citation Jet Boat II

  • @diogogaio ha!

  • Interesting.......to say the least, well captured

    Tim Australia

  • looks fake

  • @jmister22

Nope, it's real. This happened on May 15, 2005 at Bader field, Atlantic City NJ. This airport is closed to jets because the runway is too short at 2900 feet. This model of plane needs a minimum of 3,500 feet of runway to land with a 10 knot tailwind. OOPS!

  • haha imagine being in a boat and seeing that!

  • @128pinkfloyd. I bet he had insurance on his MILLION dollar jet......

  • @killerbob02 not like its a requirment or anything.... oh dam wait it has to be carried on the plane. lol who's goin for it

  • fake

  • lol,when the jet "ran" away :)

  • Takes a lickin and keeps on tickin!

  • slowest Sea Doo ever built

  • Shit thats quite a costly mistake

  • Oh, come on, that's a fake!

  • @Altenholz weak attempt at humor

  • @Altenholz NOPE

  • @Altenholz No its not

  • Im sure after a good drying and a few coats of wax, the plane will be ready to go again.

  • Damn that pilot must have been so in much sh*t after that, not only did he crash a 1,000,000 doller plane but almost got people killed when he didn't do a full shutdown before leaving, he's so lucky not one got hurt.

  • Wonder if the pilot used this video on his resume , it's sure to secure him another job !

  • that sucks. thats $1,000,000 gone and a good plane. :(

  • Damn that sucks

  • checklist failed, lol.

  • the gambling fawkers - I was gonna say get the fawk away from that fawcking plane. Lol the jet is trying to get back on land!...lol this is funny

  • wtf that pilot is so stupid..im 17 and i woulda landed that better..

  • @chris12321222 Doubt it.

  • Did the plane sink? and the motor turned off or did some diver have to get in and turn off the systems?

  • @holylemonimthat I really dont think its sane to try to get someone inside the plane while one of the engines is running. Willing to bet they didnt do that.

  • @Nonsensei436 yeah for sure. Wonder how they ended it all then?

  • well at least his vertical stab got a good power wash

  • cessna ?

  • Bad wiring. How did they stopped it? Remote control?

  • it's bad enough to go off the runway, but then leave the plane like a fkn dumb ass with the primary systems running?

  • Oy Jet! Jewish plane sinking :)

  • @LoreSka How in the world can an airplane be religious?? Btw, airplane is Danish.

  • @LoreSka fuck you haji.

  • What an asshole! It was real heartbreaking to see that CJ2 off in the water. That pilot would be so fired!

  • wow is all i have to say...

  • It would have been great if the plane got back on the runway.

  • Hey, I wanted to see if they ever got that engine stopped! Mental images of a Citation traveling the waterways...

  • it trying to get to freedom !!

  • if i had that plane, i would treat it like a baby and be TRIPLe sure that i am landing properly.

  • wow...that wasn't a landing speed...

  • the plane didn't want to die drown in the water,,for a minute i thought it was a killer whale LOL

  • what a waste of a fine aircraft. landing downwind *(which you never do) at such a high speed that i wondered if he was retarded. Lucky nobody died.

  • Field too short, tailwind, ate up over 1/2 of runway before contact, and still had a fuel load on board. Must be on of the 250 "pilots" who went to that school in Florida that was teaching just the test questions to both pilots and A&P's. Not the best thing to call your boss and say that the plane did get a wash, but the interior got a little damp.

  • I dont believe the engines actually shut down. The pilot probably forgot to shut the fuel cutoffs before he scrambled out. After that water starts getting into the controls and electronics no theres telling what was shorted or damaged. Fun to watch though, great vid.

  • I have heard that this plane is equipped with an auto start system... basically put the throttle up, push button and you go..... water got in and shorted it out and the plane thought it was time to go.

  • why the restart engine?ò,ò

  • "We got a nutball trying to land" did he say that cuz planes wern't supposed to land there (like something wrong with the runway or something) or just cuz the guy had a crappy approach?

  • @nythreefer I would have to think it was because he was landing with such a strong tailwind.

  • @Brad1711 yeh ur probably right, that plane was freakin moving when it passed the camera. It looked like nascar

  • CAUSE: "The pilot's improper decision to plan a flight to a runway of insufficient length, his improper in-flight decision to land on that inadequate runway with a tailwind, and his failure to obtain the proper touchdown point. A factor in the accident was the tailwind condition."

  • no shut down procedure ??? hmmm real gud experienced pilot right there...

  • @classf50 It's possible the water could have shorted out the starter circuits. I don't have an explanation for why the fuel valves were open, though.

  • yeah right!!!

  • That's a REAL Sea plane. :D
