  • LOL I love when he raises his voice :D MAXIMUS! Remember the MAXIMUS?!

  • logan ftw :)! how happy can you be about a motherboard :)! i miss him :(

  • when you say crossfire, do u mean the old crossfire? or crossfirex?

  • Owesome vedio dud , Hey Could you please send me all asus mobo price list which can run crysis like game with core2duo.Thanks, Subscribed.

  • x48 chipset replaces this board for the same price.

  • yeah i saw that, it's got the same name, but it's an x48

  • more hardware

  • logan looks so kiddy here^_^...

  • Wow, Logan looks a little different now.

  • " now " ? lol, it was in 2007.. so, not now. I guess he had cut his hair..

  • So this is crossifre, not sli?

  • crossfire is for amd chipsets so its sli

  • Thanks!

  • no he is an idiot you can crossfire

  • Ah, okay. Thanks!

  • But he said it's crossfire :p

  • your an idiot

  • Look at the discription it says: Crossfire technology

  • No crossfire is not only for amd chipsets also intel chipsets, like P45.

Sli is also for AMD and Intel.

  • THIS BOARD IS CROSSFIRE NOT SLI!

  • capsing, is not good

  • i have same but rampage formula

  • 5:39 XD

  • Would this be a good board for a first pc build?

  • y a x38?

  • yeah, if your doing crossfire.... if not get x48 or p45, bear in mind x48 is js a pimped up version of x38

  • Sure.

  • No, the P5E sucks with 45nm quad core cpu's.

  • logan was cool why did he have to move away

  • does this mobo support sli?

  • no, this is an intel chipset, so crossfire only

  • Could this board support SLI? or just crossfire, going to consider buying this mobo.

  • Buy it and flash it to a rampage formula ;)

  • can somebody help me out ? does this mobo support intel pentium dual core cuz it doesn't say anything about that in asus website ! it says it supports pentium 4 , D and Core 2 Duo and Quad !!! i think it can but i want to be 100% sure about that

  • Yes it will as long as your Pentium is a socket 755 and i presume it will be.

  • *Facepalm*

    775...

  • shut up u dick head ! thanks metal ghost 360 it helped a lot ! And as for u Goldfire i bet i can put u ur head in smb ass ok so stop acting like a gangsta around the web and be tough !!! jackass

  • make sure you buy the version that supports 45nm (there's allot of 65nm mobos still on the market) architecture like the P5E-VM

65nm mobos wont support 45nm cpu's and the only 65nm cpu still selling is the q6600

  • So, arbi94, you would rather incorrect information? It is socket 775, not 755 as MetalGhost360 has stated.

Since when was I trying to act tough and gangsta? Don't like the correct information? Don't listen to me, simple + learn to use a keyboard correctly.

  • ok sorry but since u said facepalm i misunderstood ! but metalghost did a typing mistake ... i think anyway u're right ok ?

  • Yea, that's fine mate. I was never trying to take a personal stab at anyone. I just personally don't like incorrect information. That's all. And yes, 775 is indeed correct.

  • hey, i might be late to answer your questions or u aleady figured it out, but this motherboard does support a pentium dual core

  • yeah i checked carefully the cpu support list but thanks anyway

  • thats my motherboard:).now its not so good it doesnt support ddr3:((.i have also mushkin ddr2 1066 mhz 4 gb in dual channel, core 2 quad 2,83 ghz [overclocked in 3,00 ghz]and ati radeon 4870 of powercolor

  • I just picked one of these up for a new system, $500 saveings over building a P6 board and i7 cpu

  • Does anyone use this with Corsair Dominator 4GB 1066 mhz RAM? I hear it has compatibility issues with this motherboard, is this true?

  • I got the p5q-se and corsair D 4 gig 1066 on 64 bit and i run GREAT!

  • I can't really get the Asus Rampage Formula since it's killing my budget.. I would get the Asus Maximus II Formula but it's not a good crossfire-er like the x38/x48 platforms. Is this board really worth it? Because if it really is I would get this instead.

  • defiantly, even by todays standards its an awesome board, supports all the cpu's up to the Extreme 45nm processors and is very good for overclocking and crossfire. I have this board and it has never let me down ;)

  • LMFAO, he ripped off the sticker, :O maximus formula haha

  • rofl that made me laugh out loud..

  • thats prob why he does not work there anymore

    Asus sued him lol

  • For what?

  • asus? LMAO dude dont talk crap out of your ass, logan moved out of miami and had to quit

  • idiot

  • i just boght the HDMI

  • the hdmi revision sucks and it has lower quality components im sorry :(

  • Has It Got PCI E 2 ?

  • yeah its x38 chipset, it has 2 PCIe 16x slots

  • yes, it supports pci-e 2.0 video cards.

i have this board, i recommend it.

  • Need to know this..

Does an Noctua NH-U12P fit on this mobo?

I am going to buy a new cpu cooler and is thinking of buying the NH-U12P... but i dont know if the cooler will fit because of the heatsinks on the mobo. :S

  • It should fit on this board. Noctua has a list of compatible mobos.

  • this one or gigabyte x48-ds4?

i have a q6600 and i am planning to oc it

  • lol "if you could hear awesome-ness, it'd scream"

  • Btw, kinda gimpy MB, it can only do 435x8 on Q9450 (on air). Not stable at all above 435. I'm pretty disappointed it should do AT LEAST 3.7GHz (some guys are running @ 3.8GHz w/o on other MBs brands). Probably my LAST Asus product!

  • "w/o on other" read it: without any problem on other...

  • yeah, yeah, yeah... RAID is supported, but it stops working when u plug hard drive in add-on raid pci card :( Even when u try to boot from cdrom - system hangs or instantly reboots. Make a video about it. try raid-1 on motherboard with winxp on it, install addon pci raid card, add one or two hdds on it.. and try to boot from onboard raid-1..

  • Could two 4870s fit on that board at x16 Crossfire X?

  • it sure does =D =D

  • whats better: the p35 chipset or the x38 chipset??

they seem to have the same qualities!

  • x38 lets u run FULL crossfire, P35 doesnt. Eventhough some P35s advertise crossfire, they dont fully support it, they will stagger the performance of your second card. X38 also has PCIe 2.0 for video cards wich gives them bigger bandwith. Other than that there about the same.

  • Nope. Intel X38 is by far better. For overclocking and for better stability.

  • Would an arctic cooling Freezer 7 Pro fit on this motherboard?

  • yes, it wil

  • What about a Thermalright ultra 120 extreme.. thinking of buying one and i got to know if it will fit on this motherboard. ^^

And does the Nocuta NH-U12P fit on this motherboard?

  • I don't know that

  • this board is awsome, i used to build my system with a E8400 oc at 4ghz

  • I'm freaking out, tried to overclock, got my Front side bus up to 1333 MHz, if I go any further, it all gets fucked up! And it says that it will reach 1600 MHz! What am I doing wrong? :(

  • I got a Intel E2140 @ 1,6 Ghz-800MHZ FSB. I did a 100% Overclock to 3,2Ghz; FSB1600. I Have good RAM-memory. Maybe that?

    Crycual Ballistix Tracer 6400 2X1GB

  • Updated your BIOS?

  • cant wait I'm getting that at the end of my exams!!!!!!

  • Only 2 days, then I finaly have it lol

  • I got man! omg, I created a MONSTER!

  • just got this board and xeon e3110(xeon branded e8500 C2D) and wow, totally kicks my P5N32-sli SE deluxe and 1st-gen conroe e6600!!! going to OC soon, but very stable system works great, super features and get 90% of maximus formula features for 1/2 of its price!

  • logan have got a hair cut! :O xD =D

  • DreadRaptor85 , go into systeminformation... you should see mobo ... in the controlpanel you can see your processor

  • How do know what type of motherboard you have? I bought my computer from Dell. Is there like a "system settings" place you go to find out?

  • sweet board, got it yesterday!

  • I have a question... this mobo support SLI, or only Crossfire ?

    I wanna buy it

  • Yes, Crossfire only. Please search the internet first. If you want to crossfire;

    1X 3870X2 and 1 3870l.

    :)

  • Crossfire only,if u want sli go with nvidia motherboard, 780i or 790i. but careful nvidia mobos run hot as hell.

  • i just got this mobo. only shame is it only has one ethernet port.

  • WTF Why man? 1 is enough. And you're also lucky they put the Marvell on it. Realtek succsk

  • Google: "daisy-chain network".

Two gigabit ports should be standard now.

  • mine will be with E8400 and XFX 8800gts alpha dog :D

  • P5E with E8400...4.5ghz^^

  • Cool man, i want to do that too. I have a E2140 1,6 Ghz, upped it to a 100% OC on this Mobo. :D 3,2 Ghz...

Whats your MP and mhz , voltage etc.

  • thanks a lot for ignoring me hey

    nicely done

  • dammit.. its cross fire.. :X

  • im running a q6600 at 3.4ghz

  • What cooler do you have? im getting this board with a Q6600 and a zalman 9500A do you think the zalman can handle that?

  • i have the thermaltake/V1 its a 110 mm fan with blue LED...highly recommeded!

at load I get a very acceptable 53 degrees C

the zalman 9500A will also do the trick...good fan from what i hear

just make sure your case has enough room...these things are huge

  • What cooler do you have? im getting this board with a Q6600 and a zalman 9500A do you think the zalman can handle that?

  • A Zalman 9500A probably won't fit on the board, there's quite a few components near the CPU.

The Zalman 9700, although even bigger, has a better mounting system.

  • Uhhm, I got the 9500 sitting here next to me, on the P5E so....Fits perfectly!

  • ok i need to ask if i buy something from your website is it uk items

basically i have a motherboard from american megatrends and i have 3 1gb uk Ram hardware that wont fit so if i buy from your online shop will it fit uk ram peices nice vid i spent yesterday and today watching your vids your quite funny

  • ok im aware that i asked a stupid question so ignore the previous question i still like you vids and reviews and think your funny ..peace..

  • why man? its cheaper for some reason the P5E has also capacitors for long life gets lower temperature than the gigabyte and.... its an ASUS mobo

  • which is better?? this board or gigabyte x38 DQ6??? really does anyone know?

  • the Gigabyte X38-DQ6

  • this guy kicks ass

  • the difference between the 680i and 780i is 3fps difference when running conrow or kenstfield cpus, main change with the 780i is the hardware change so you can have a penryn based quad core cpu and PCI-E v2.0 (we haven't even maxed out the bandwidth of PCI-E v1.1 yet..), the difference between a qx6850 and a qx9650 is really fuck all tbh, over all ull be paying $1600 extra for 7-14 more fps, is it worth it?

  • i second that

  • LOL! he sounds sarcastic about the padded I/O faceplate. "So.. thanks, guys. I'm so sick of bloody fingers every time I build a system."

Other than that, this board look very promising.

  • who is better?? this board or gigabyte x38 DQ6???

  • i have this mother board... its crazy i just ordered it last week ..... and it has that same sticker

  • x38 doesnt support 1600mhz fsb official

the p35 is cheaper and gives u the same things x38 gives (except pcie2.0)

pcie2.0 doesnt give u an advantage for now

wait and buy x48 and for the next generation grphic cards of nvidia

  • LOL it was a BLACK sticker. XD

  • haha nice comment gtiasd

  • ROFLMAO! ...it's the maximus formula PCB lol Asus ARE gonna kill ya Logan, I think you might need the same magnum that shot the box of the Maximus Formula lol

  • LOL

  • Logan your the best I was going to buy a maximus formula seeing this one is much cheaper and is the same board with a smaller heatsink I will go for this one

  • maaan the video quality has gotten a lot worse for sum reason? nice haircut tho logan haha

  • i have my BFG 680i SLI mmobo overclocked to 1714 is that pretty good?

  • asus are hiring assasin.. beware of it.. hahahass.. =D

  • #47 is on the way!

  • uuuhhhh asus is gonna kill you

  • No SLI, aww. Any 45nm support with SLI?

  • There will be coming an Nforce 780i chipset MB, that support 45nm processors and PCI-E 2.0

but they will come in the next year.

Right now there isnt a MB that supports SLI and PCI-E 2.0

  • all the 780i is a newer 680i by a new bios and a PCI-E 2.0 chip

  • I heard they were coming out this month...

  • You ppl should read "PCIe2.0 x16, CrossFire Technology" NOT SLI. All X38 mobos suppers only crossfire. And i got a question too, Is that sound card good ?

  • no link on the description????? need link!

  • X38 the way to go!

  • ""oh no asus is gonna kill me""

  • Very nice board, but still, the X38 chip still isn't taken advantage of by all current motherboards. Until that happens, the P35 chip is definitely still the way to go for the money paid. Benchmarking of both chips on existing motherboards give similiar results.

  • GROW YOUR HAIR DAMMIT!!!!

    lol

  • e-mail my ceo about that... because I never wanted to cut it.

  • What is the e-mail?

  • I'll get in so much trouble if I post that on youtube... lol.

  • I really hope that you did not mean that

  • it looks good. it suport the new 45 nm quad core. cool

  • didnt logan go from like 25 to like 34 in the past few days?

  • yeah what's up with that? hehe

  • mid life crisis?

    Or is it too early?

  • lol... really it's the new video equipment... it makes us all look terrible.

  • You guys are always late on reviews, this is old why buy this one now just go grab the maximus, or the dfi x38 motherboard ^_^

  • very cool. i wish i had money for a mobo like htat

  • The guys working the camera should probably get their 'white' fixed. It looks like Logan is severely pale because the pink is screwing with the camera.

  • freaking crossfire. i was looking up the price for this and then as soon as he said "this is crossfire by the way" i just closed the window.

  • they also support sli

  • No they don't. Only NVidia's chipsets support SLI.

  • bleh well the p35 chipsets do :p

  • No they don't.

  • no u are not intel is crossfire OLNY!

  • asus striker extreme is nvidia 680i chipset not p35.

  • I miss the old backround... :(

    ~fin~

  • I agree :_:

  • yep. i second taht

  • LOL geez, ASUS is uber ghetto trying to cover up the maximus formula with a slicker...

  • LMAO I laughed out litterally when he said that

  • i dont nooooo

  • is there a version of this mobo which is supports SLI and not Crossfire?

  • no.. all Intel Boards support Crossfire only or no dual-CPU support..

  • quick question: what happens if you insert two nvidia cards into this board?

does only one work or is it completely incompatible with nvidia?

  • I think its completely incompatible

  • how can a board incompatible with a graphics card?

  • lol wut
