  • How come it is 1.29%? It is only .84%...

  • Just seems like a pointless waste of time, energy, money and STRESS (depending on snailmail) ... JUST TO MAKE A DEPOSIT

  • @chefpetey Direct Deposit.. Or free snail mail deposits. Try it out... oh and use mint.com for your personal budget :) its free and is amazing

  • But how the heck do you deposit money unless you ALREADY HAVE an account from another bank? You can't live by Ally alone?

  • @chefpetey use an ATM. With Ally bank ATMs are free

  • @MoldytoasterMedia You CANNOT deposit Ally Funds in a non-Ally (any) ATM. So either transfer from existing and redundant account OR SNAIL-MAIL Deposit...check or money order only. No fees at Ally...so what if you still have to pay them elsewhere? NOTE: We are Ally Customer Care...There are 3 ways to deposit: 1) Transfer electronically from another bank once that account is registered w/us;2) Send a check by mail and we will deposit it in account; 3) Wire transfer to Ally Bank from another

  • I think it is awesome that you can have a $0 minimum deposit... what are you saving for with no money? To take advantage of a high yield savings like Ally - its best to have money in your account, right?

  • As of March 2011 Ally Bank Savings Account rate is 1.00% (dropped .30% in 8 months)
