With all honesty, AS A TLC FAN, I am sick of the DC+TLC debates.. You all have been going on about it for over 5 years. TLC and Destiny's Child are now both done and there still hasn't been a girl group to hit the charts as well as they did AND as long as they did. There will never be another TLC and there will never be another Destiny's Child. They were both great girl groups of the 90's and I pay respect to both of the groups for keeping a POSITIVE INFLUENCE on pop culture and not being sluts.

TLC was upset that they didn't get the cover and their previous album had sold 15 million copies worldwide. Chilli talked about this in 2009, I think. They've actually never been on the cover -- featured story but no cover. =)

If you compare a Destiny's Child performance with a TLC performance you will see that TLC shaaaat all over DC! Both lip sync parts of their songs so neither was perfect (I'm pretty sure TLC did alot more live performances at the start of their career) but TLC could dance, were in sync with each other energy wise and just plain cool! The only problem TLC had was that they had crap management and a label that never did them any justice - not enough DVD's of their videos, tours and performances!

i am a big fan of TLC & DC. i don't put either 1 ova da utha cuz dey both wuz diff. kinds of girl groups. tlc wuz more chill and had dat atl swag and consistent. dc is more diva and girly and were more about vocals bcuz they didn't have a rapper. I agree with you, TLC & DC were two different groups. TLC were innovators, their sound was unique. They were one of 3 groups that made girl groups relevant period. TLC, SWV, and EnVogue rescued a genre that was dead. If it wasn't for those groups destiny child would not exist. TLC had a swagger that no female groups ever had. DC a lot of their success was based on Beyonce.  TLC music was more versatile because of Dallas Austin. DC music was more of a tradional girl group.
