You are missing the point of the song! It is called "I've Just Seen JESUS" not Sandi! If you mention any other name you take away from the song's focus! I can't wait till we get to Heaven and the true value of the songs will be the thankful story of praise to Jesus and not the singer!

She was an outstanding stand in for Sandi Patty! This rendition had me fighting back the tears all the way through it, just like the version with Sandi Patty does when I listen to it. The purist might cry foul, but this was still a beautiful performance!

I'm sitting here crying! Oh my word!!! That was an AWESOME performance!!!! I've Just Seen Jesus will always be a classic with Sandi...but DANG, Smith comes in 2nd!!!! That was completely AMAZING!!!!! 4:54 and at the end when both reach the high notes. I say Smith did just as well!!!! AMAZING!!!

First of all, the performance is on a cruise ship not an acoustically provided auditorium or studio. And Ladye is not Sandi Patty. But, all that aside, a very pleasing rendition. And, did anyone notice that Larnelle upped his Agame to make up for the lack of acoustics? He is a true talent..

For you Ladye Love Smith haters GET OVER IT!!!!!!!!!! Not everyone is Sandi Patti. Don't get me wrong Sandi has a Great voice but You can't compare two people who sing with two different styles. Ladye can hit the notes I have heard her. She Doesn't just "hold back'. She has a beautiful voice and if you can't accept that don't watch the video! Love you Ladye!!!!

@ 23stassi - I totally agree with your comments! You are right, her mike could have been turned up a slight bit. I believe she was holding back a little in her performance until the very end. She sounds powerful as well, but I get the feeling she was allowing "less to be more"! I'm glad you shared your view as well. BRAVO!

I have always loved Larnelle Harris, and yes, he was singing with Sandi Patty at the time. The female here has her own voice and she did a marvelous rendition with Larnelle although I must say ...her mike should have been turned up a bit more to offset the mighty power of Larnelle Harris....but indeed, marvelous! She did not disappoint! BRAVO!

I believe this duet was ANOINTED by GOD Himself!  I loved Sandi Patty and Larnelle's version at the time, but why must Ladye Love Smith sound just like Sandi. Larnelle was so pleased and so were the musicians and other singers! I was truly Blessed by their rendition. There are not many singers who could even attempt to do this song, especially with the genius of Larnelle! I say, "Bravo"!!! :)
