So glad I got to work at plant 42.Any hush house footage, thats what I'm looking for..It was insane at night lose your lunch when they lit it up.most awesome thing I've ever witness.
I was wondering, how you people can get that close to the landingstrip and that hardware? got a pass or something? I did not even see a guard with a dog or something :P
it was during red flag and im fairly sure he has very good connections (judging by his username) to get on the flight line. they don't just let people out there on a daily basis. Am I correct author?
I remember being at the kentucky speedway in 2002 and they had a flyover and we didn't recognize the plane. I found it. It was this one! We were DEAF by the time it flew over us. It was low slow and we all held our ears thinking-what the HELL is that?
It is restricted but during the year the bases have what are known as Media days where you contact the office off public affairs and can get permission to go on base and film...It's actually kind of cool to get permission to get on base with a film camera, i know cause I'm trying to get connections here at Whitemann just up the road from me.
8081rt - consider me a total newbie, but way impressed nonetheless... What's the protocol for being an (albeit registered) civilian observer for AF flights? I've been aboard Naval ships and bases, but not on exercises... I would love to attend exercises, perhaps at NAS Pt. Magu, or AFB Vandenberg, or Edwards... Having a backgound check is a small (painless) price to pay for this! Thanks for posting!
Things have changed since I was in the Air Force. They didn't let anyone that didn't have a reason to be there stand by the runway. Now they let civilians. Cool. Your HD is amazing too. Thanks.
I wish see in action.

I was at Avalon Airshow recently, and this thing taking off..its just sex on wings...
its amazing to behold. Even the F-18 super hornets and f-16 seemed dwindled by its power (not stats..just the sheer power of its take off)
airwolf1171988 2 years ago

FoXakaFoX 3 years ago
Yes all or most are civilians. There are a few airmen who had to be there to shoot as well.

ah ok, but i still wonder, if thats not a resticted area!?
