Wandi may be losing a bit more than wining but it usually by decision and not by much.The fights are competitive. Against Franklin some thought he won. So long as he keeps putting on warrior shows he should keep fighting.When he becomes non competitive then it's time to rethink.Maybe the Slim down will regain that slight speed or freedom of movement he seems to of lost. Maybe the additional muscle mass slows him down a smidge from his pride days but he still puts on a great show. Total Respect.

I don't think Wanderlei's chin is done. He fought Chuck when Chuck was still prime and Franklin. Both heavy handed fighters and he made it to a decision and in fact, dropped THEM a couple times. I think he just needs to start training properly. Over training is not training properly Wanderlei! You're with Extreme Couture, train with Randy. Randy knows that proper resting is the right way to peak. Wanderlei is far from done.

since then he has become one of my fav fighters and since he has come to the ufc he has become my fav fighter even after going 1-3 in the ufc because he is so positive and loves his fans and always gives a show to the fans

Agreed guys, this is why Wanderlei is such a great person and such a great person. Win or lose, he always puts his heart into it, puts on a show for his fans, and that is why his fans are his fans. And you can't say that about any other fighter. Whether it is Fedor or Chuck Liddell or GSP, Wand has something they don't. They need to win in order to have fans, win or lose, Wanderlei's fans stick with him.
I personally belive that Wanderlei won the fight with Rich because at the end Wanderlei really brought it up with those elbows and he got some nasty punches on Rich. Wanderlei your my favorite fighter ethier way.

You talked about mistakes... and I gotta say, that going down 12lbs the day before the weigh-ins, was a BIG mistake. Dehydrating yourself like that might work in body building, but not in MMA.
That resulted in early gassing and less energy.

What people didn't notice is that Wand didn't have to win. He only had to fight well, and he did that. That's the only athlete's duty, the rest is determined by reasons beyond his will.

my fav fighter used to be sakuraba and i had a bit of a dislike for wanderlei until he won the 2003 pride grand prix
since then he has become one of my fav fighters and since he has come to the ufc he has become my fav fighter even after going 1-3 in the ufc because he is so positive and loves his fans and always gives a show to the fans
i personally thought he beat franklin, but it was a close fight and i can understand why some think rich won the match

wanderlie could lose his next 10 fights in a row and he will still have the same attitude... how can you dislike a man like that?

Agreed guys, this is why Wanderlei is such a great person and such a great person. Win or lose, he always puts his heart into it, puts on a show for his fans, and that is why his fans are his fans. And you can't say that about any other fighter. Whether it is Fedor or Chuck Liddell or GSP, Wand has something they don't. They need to win in order to have fans, win or lose, Wanderlei's fans stick with him.

I personally belive that Wanderlei won the fight with Rich because at the end Wanderlei really brought it up with those elbows and he got some nasty punches on Rich. Wanderlei your my favorite fighter ethier way.

Wand is the best because he transcends record and skill. He is the EMBODIMENT of the warrior spirit. Who else would put their 5 year win streak on the line and give up 100+ pounds to fight Mark Hunt on 3 day's notice? What other fighter stepped up to the plate against ALL HEAVYWEIGHTS by entering the semifinals of the OWGP because the fans wanted a champion to be in the tournament?

Wand man, I can tell your more motivated than ever. That fight was so close theres no way you should be dissapointed with the results. It shows that you can still hang with the best fighters in the world. I know your still trying to adapt to the cage and I have no doubt your just beggining a whole new journey in a carreer thats sure to last for many years to come.

I have enjoyed your fights from the early UFC days, before you went to Pride.
You talked about mistakes... and I gotta say, that going down 12lbs the day before the weigh-ins, was a BIG mistake. Dehydrating yourself like that might work in body building, but not in MMA.
That resulted in early gassing and less energy.
Ofcourse it is your teams fault also... this should not had happend, man. :(

Its great to hear your words and thoughts in this video, you know what your strengths are and your next win will have big cheers.
